LOL!! We'll see. Thanks for the hook up, btw. Was anything mentioned regarding how the move sets will be distributed amongst the created characters? Also, are the body sets for the CC's pre defined, such as just a generic male and female? Or, is it possible to adjust girth, hieght, hair, etc? Or was such info even present in the PSM? Agian, thanks Hydro and MKO/DB for the hook up.

(75% of those who read this will actually try)

In the past it's always been tons of people from MK1, Jax, then just a couple others. For example, in MKDA 8 of the returning characters were from MK1. Only like 3 where from MK II, and only 1 from MK3 and 1 from MK4. Very lopsided. Way too many "classics".
This doesn't seem to be the case so far. There's actually a balance of classics and people who we haven't seen since MKT. Nightwolf? Sindel? Cool to see them back instead of the same old Jax game after game.

Well said. I'm so glad that the whole "re-living of MK1" phase has ended.

Nintendo is comprised of three Japanese words. Nin, Ten, Dou, and when combined it means we kicked the holy shit outta Atari.

Woot woot!
| TonyTheTiger Wrote: This is all great news. Though I don't know about that mid fight stage fatality thing. It doesn't make sense to me. It's not like a ring out in Soul Calibur where you don't think twice when your opponent appears for the next round. Here you'd be watching the guy get ground into chopmeat only to appear again in full health for round two. A little Looney Tunish don't you think? |
I've been thinking about the whole "insta' gib" thing that seams to be taking place and, as a whole, it realy isn't bothering me to much. I do understand the concerns as far as rationality goes. Though, often times in the game universe logic is slanted, and neither does it need to be cohesive...sometimes.
Also, we do not know the technicalities which surround the death trap/stage fat/insta' gib...as far as I know, anyways. Perhaps a round must be won first, or a certain amount of HP depleted. Hell, maybe only a select group of moves or a specfied input could initiate such an act.
Either way, I believe that if developed properly this could lend itself as a great strategic element. Though, yeah, if presented incorrectly, it could come off looking hella fruity, separating the player from the MK universe.
I guess we'll all just have to wait for it to come out; praise it if it ownz, or slam the shit out of it if it's a skank hole.
Peace and love ya'll.
Top notch work guys. I really cannot wait for this game. Faster character movement, stage fatalities, multi-tiered arenas, loads of extra modes, create a character, online play, and.....Sindel. I seriously have never been more excited about an MK game since MK2 at this point.
All I hope for is that they don't over-expose it with media like they did MKDA, ya know? By the time it came out, before even, we knew almost everything about it, right down to who the two secret characters were, and who all the unlockable characters were, and how to do the fatals. Ugh.
