The WWE appears to be everywhere now adays. First they are telling people ''to get out there and vote!!!'' Now they are having a MK:D Sweepstakes... I wonder what they would do next. lol

I don't get how anyone doesn't understand this. Midway and WWE obviously worked out a deal in their sponsorship to cross-promote each other with a contest. The WWE audience and the MK audience are in that highly desired 18-35 male demographic so they make natural allies. The WWE does stuff like this all the time with various video games, movies, etc.
As for Smackdown Your Vote, the McMahons felt a certain responsibility to encourage their young audience to get out and vote. Young people are the least likely to vote and if they don't go to the polls, politicians will continue to ignore them during campaigns.

I wouldn't mind. I'm an avid wrestling fan, and a great mortal kombat fan. Too bad I don't live in the US.

Heh, funny M4C. What I didn't mention in the news posts guys, is that WWE did a similar promotion in 2002 with Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. However the winner got to go to the launch party on Nov. 21st at the WWE World complex in Times Square and play against a WWE superstar and meet Ed Boon.
M4C made a joke about that because I was actually invited to attend that event in 2002. Though due to miscommunication I bought my plane ticket to be in New York on the 22nd, because the event was called the "Fatality Friday Gala". One would THINK that would be on a Friday. However it was on the 21st. So I went to New York anyway, the day after. It was a complete screw up. smile

Why would they have a WWE wrestler sign a Mortal Kombat game, thats just dumb as hell. Id rather have it signed by Ed Boon or someone related to the actual game.
But why not just have Chris Benoit or any other big susperstar sign it to make it more appealing. It takes 5 seconds to sign something.

Guess it's good for some people. If I won, I would tell them to not sign my copy of MKD.
I'm not a wrestling fan in the least, I actually think it's stupid. So having one of their sigs on my game case would just ruin the case.
Maybe if Boon or the MK staff signed my case it would be different, but a wrestler? No thanks.

I'm a big fan of MK and Wrestling, and it's sad that in WWE, only registers people from US & Canada, but still I like this idea.
I never forget the real Deadly Alliance... between masked Kane & Quan Chi... someone still it has that pic? smile
