i was thinking that This mk should have more than one type of throw, i mean it was stupid to have one basic throw for both your fighting styles, a different fighting styles should have a different throw.

what i am suggesting is that you have 2 throws per fighting style excluding the weapon style of coruse. i will use sub zero as an example.

say in dragon- to do throw one just >+R1, to do throw 2 in that style do
same for all styles, i don't think MK should have an in depth throwing system like soul cailber or DOA because mk was more of a combo and stiking dominatied gamplay, just enough to make it intersting, also style branch combos would be cool if you can end them with a throw in a differnt style.

I think throws that somewhat resemble Tekken's throws would work best. They're more realistic in some aspecte and more variable. But, I gree with having 2 throws per style that reflect the traits of that style.

judging by the trailer it seems that they might have improved the throwing system, boraicho had a new throw...hopefully the fighters will have more than one, and performing throws with weapons would be cool.

Throwing in MKDA was unimaginative and useless (unless you were playing as Drahmin). Yes, I agree with just about everything on this thread: 1) There needs to be more than one throw per character, 2) The idea of ending combos with a throw, and my own 3) Throws having different properties, ex. resulting in a stun or a pop-up/bounce (like Drahmin's throw).

yeah dramamin had some cool throws, like the one where he step on your foot and pound you like a punching bag.

what i would like is if all the throws would be different for each character, if you remember kitana and shang had the same thing, so did kung lou and kenshi.

Exactly my thoughts. Unfortunately I don't know if this will happen. So far I saw both Sindel and Li Mei use the same "monkey flip" throw. I think we'll see the exact same thing we saw in MKDA - some characters will have unique throws, others will have copied ones.

I would like to see a much more complex throwing system also. Not something as complex as Tekken, but something alot more improved upon than what was in DA. The only person in DA with a decent throw was Drahmin. I would like to see 2-3 throws being made possible to link together. Being able to end the combo with a throw would be nice.

I believe a monkey flip is when the attacker grabs the opponent by both arms, plants one foot in their chest, then rolls back, flipping the opponent over him/her. Maybe I have it misnamed, but I think I described the throw correctly.

I wanted to add one more thing: 4) It would be really cool if you could throw your enemy into a death trap!

yeah throwing your opponent to a death trap would be cool, also it could be interesting if you can also throw your self to the death trap by accident similar to what happens in soul calibur...you know what i mean, it could add alot to the stradegy and keep you aware of things.

throws look to be gettign better. as you remmebr not everybody's throw was really a throw anyways they just kinda kicked them in the face. if the throws got to be alittle better even the Virtua Fighter 4 throws wail on any out there i think. from seeing that move kabal did i'd say they improved them alotta. weapon throws would be sweet but not everybody's weapon could be capable of it. how would you thrwo somebody with a little short stick like bo rai cho's got?

Yeah, I thought it was cool how Hsu Hao could end his Wrestling combo with a throw. To my knowledge, he's the only character in MK:DA who could do that. I wonder why they didn't do more of that.

The throws do seem to be better, especially Darrius' (i think) where he grabs you and knees you in the back!!

The only thing i would like is for the throws to be done using a button combination like 1+2 or if they have more than one throw F+1+2 or B+1+2. I don't think the SM button is needed.

And weapon throws would be great! think kilik in SC2 ... love them throws smile

Yea I would like to see more combos like that ending in some type of throw.

Well, first of all, throws shouldn't be blockable. I have no idea who the hell came up with that. There really should be a way to escape throws too (a staple in fighting games for what, 10 years?).
I agree that there should be more throws, but it shouldn't be as simple as '2 throws per style' as it largely depends on what style it is. Judo, aikido and wrestling are all styles that need a plethora of grabs and throws. A 'judo' style with 2 grabs is a joke. There needs to be many grabs/throws, for different situations. Grabs for crouching opponents, grabs for opponents with their back turned, grabs performed on opponents lying down, etc, etc. That's not to say styles that aren't throw-heavy, like say muay thai or tae kwon do, shouldn't have throws. You could give them just as many throws as judo, but you'd want to make them completely different... muay thai 'throws' could include kneeing your opponent in the chest, tae kwon do 'throws' could include kicking combos or whatever. The most important thing (except very basic mechanics like making throws unblockable), IMO is making throws - like any attack - true to, and a part of, the style and/or character it's supposed to represent. I hated almost all throws in MKDA because they looked so ridiculous, out of place, and completely wrong for the fighting style and/or character using them.

Well they should have tons of throws especially characters who's styles are throw oriented, thats the one thing that erked me about DA the most is how unrealistic the styles were, and styles like jujitsu, judo, aikido, wrestling are mostly based on throws and joint locks.wow

that would be cool in terms of realistic nature of the game. it would hinder game play if you were a person with a prime hitting style, and your up agianst someone who is a prime thrower and slammer. they is pretty uneven. its going to be like MK2's Kung lou, if you remember all he did when you fought him is throw you.

i think if the person has a throwing style, like judo, two main throws like all the other charatvers, and one button will replace a punch or kick like in cyrax's sambo.

and striking stances would have striking throws like what kung lou had in MKDA
