What I mean is, if a fighter is fighting Sub-Zero and Sub-Zero tries to freeze him and his opponent jumps out of the way, or side-steps too late and his hit partially, that only the body part that is hit gets frozen. You could be allowed to deepfreeze certain parts of the opponent as well, but based on the enviroment will evaluate how long it takes for the ice to melt.

Or if Kung Lao throws his hat at his opponent and he tries to dodge it, but is still nicked but the blade, he will bleed from that wound and it can be any part of the body. And instead of the hat reapering on Lao's head, the hat can either be picked up off of the ground (by any of the fighters) or it can be retrieved by pulling it out of his opponents body.

The same goes for Scorpion too. If he does his hellfire move, the place where it was done, should remain on fire, or the ground can be smoldered. And the effect and amount of damage done to the aren, is based on location as well. As for his spear, it should be able to insert various different parts of his opponent.

Hey Ureiko, how are you? I think your idea is excellent and would make the game that much better, kinda like how they made Kenshi immune to Sonya's poison kiss attack, attention to little details like the ones you stated really make a game more enjoyable.

nice ideas. i always hated how the hat reappeared on kung lao's head. they made skorpion's spear 'retract' when it was blocked if u didnt notice in mk5. maybe they can do like capt. america in street fighter where the hat falls to the ground when it is blocked and u walk over it to pick it up. and if it hits an opponent, it flies around the arena (u see it in the background) and comes back to u, kinda like a boomerang or Xena's ring blade things. and if u block subzero's freeze, u still get ice particles on u, eventho you're not frozen. well said Z-chick, attention to small detail makes games awesome. and did u notice that jax can block swords and it throws sparx bekuz of his metal arms! tight

Anyway, paying attention to those little details are important to making a good video game even better.

I agree, I liked how the game got a little more realistic in those things. Like, Kenshis fatality on Kano, will only make one eye pop, and in himself, no eye will pop out.
