The thing that caught my interest about this pic is that qaun chi looks as if he was intetended to be a charcter on the original line up.
No, I don't think so because all the characters on the board in that picture are MK:DA models. Kitana is there as well as the MK:DA Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

Quan chi really could be in Deception
I want to see him with a blood fatality, not that nonsense of Deadly Alliance.
He was my favorite bad guy.
