From what I've heard, Raiden's Staff, Kai, a possible confrontation with Khan.....could mean more missions, more stuff to unlock. Looks like Konquest is like Energizer. It keeps going and going and going.....LOL

something about killing shao khan with raidens staff.

ok more mission. but would you just get koins or a secert character. I still don't think its right because playing Konquest agian would be very stupid (redoing training, and stuff) ,but i could be wrong

Coming back to Earthrealm as the tarkatan hordes are slaying the monks(I didnt get any of that after I found the last komidogu). Like being sent by Kung Lao to go find Kai and get Raiden's staff to avenge the death of many of the White Lotus Society members by killing Shao Kahn(Again, I did not get that part of the story).... and who knows where it goes after that.... My konquest is basically over because I can't get Kung Lao to show(which is extending the game for others and may possibly lead to more secrets). So, I will start a new profile and go at it again. And, I will not get the last komidogu until I have that dam headband.

Well they said we were gonna have to play Konquest A LOT to get them, if Boon and Co. kept them in, so......looks like there ARE more missions we have to figure out how to trigger, and these are some of them. Maybe after we beat Khan, more missions appear.

Ok but if we are not certain we will get a new character I see no other reason to keep doing it besides learning more about mortal kombat

also if you do new mission it makes you think that the people behind mkd wrote themslef into a loop. they could have doon a better job

Starting over is a bunch of bullshit. I played MKD for a week to finally unlock everything that's been known so far. Even though I did start a new profile I'm sorta wonderin why? Yea i wouldnt mind seeing kung lao in konquest, but is it really worth starting over for a few koins? wtf?

The missions that come after him seem important....."IE" killing SHAO KHAN.so its more than kions.

Kung Lao TELLS you to slay Shao Kahn with Raiden's staff. As of right now, no one has found out a way to actually fight him. So yeah, right now, you guys are just missing out on a few (typically poorly written) conversations -- you speak with Kung Lao, who informs you that the Shaolin have been decimated, speak with Kai who says that he'll be retuning to earthrealm soon, and he gives you Raiden's staff to give to Lao, and then speak with Lao again who tells you that it is time to go slay Shao Kahn with Raiden's staff. After that, you track down Shao Kahn and do two ridiculously simple missions for him -- find Reptile/find Reiko. That's it.
Folks, the whole 'kill Shao Kahn thing' might just be a hint at the next game -- Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. I doubt that the Kung Lao conversations are integral in unlocking any further secrets. Probably just a well placed teaser is all.

So yeah, don't bother re-doing Konquest just to chat with Kung Lao. Take it from someone who has finished Lao's missions -- it is not worth it, unless someone later proves that it is a trigger for FURTHER missions.

Anyways, I restarted and after i was done with the village I went straight forward to talk to shen. He said that mortal kombat was held every 50 years and stuff about participating in it and being a white lotus, blah blah blah.
You start the game on year 01. I've decided after going through and becoming a white lotus with the headband thing, and getting raidens staff, I will meditate for 2 years (at the end of Konquest the year is 48.) until I reach the 50th year that mortal kombat is suppose to be held on, perhaps then something will happen.

I'm beginning to think, more and more, that the Kung Lao mission is just a hint for the next MK fighting game (not Shaolin Monks as I had said before). What do y'all think?
