Has there been any news as to how players creat their own player?

From what i know: You start out as a 16 year old apprentice, and later become a 60 year old. OInce your 60, then you can enter Mortal Kombat... ( is that what i read? )doesnt sound right.

Certain events will only become available at a specific location and a specific time of day and some information will even be misleading, hence the name Deception. You begin as a 16-year-old fighter and end as a 60-year-old master, your custom fighter now ready to enter (and be selected) in the world of the Mortal Kombat Versus mode.


If this is true, maybe im reading it worng, then your fighter is 60 when they enter the tournament ?!?!?! haha, 60? a 60 year old jade....her boobs would sag

I'm pretty sure it's just the Konquest mode ends when you're 60, your in game incarnation will probably be a young version of your character.

I think you would have a boss battle with the Dragon King to end Konquest.

I am very excited about Konquest mode. If Boon & Co. do it right it just may be the most exciting thing to ever come along in an MK game. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next 7 months. Fight!!

If they make konquest right then we'll be able to cram every fighter ever made! Hell maybe they can figure a way to make expansions, to further individualize our characters, that's real wishful thinking there.. But yeah, if I can make a character close to Iori from KOF then Boon&co. done right!

you know i think its just a bad translation.. think about it.. mabe he ment 60 days.... that sounds about right to me... allwell.. lets see.. i can't make smoke since hes there already... well mabe i can make him my way... but i will make the ninja form of reptile on my konquest mission... and after that i will make kunglao if hes not in there...

I love the idea but, by the way it sounds, You can only make one character,only make a male monk.
I hope i am not true, but this means you can make 1 character, and it will be hard to make the character you want, since you have to unlock your aperance,moves,and possably fatality. This also means no females (would be a bummer) and, no other races than human, and last but not least, only monks.

Again I maybe wrong(and hope i am) but it sounds like i am true by the way they say "your character will be 60" , not "characters", and by the pictures that we got which all have male human monks.

First as far as the thread goes, yes I am very excited about Konquest mode. I think that you will be able to make one character per profile. Meaning you just put in the profile of the character you want to use. I think this makes the most sense.

It would be good if they had a slot on the character selection screen that said load character so you can have as many characters as you want ( or as your memmory card can hold

Yes i am. I think the new Konquest will give more depth to the game. I only hope that the arenas should be acessible when in konquest to see their look. Because when you're fighting you don't pay the whole attention to all the details. IMO Konquest will rule. It will be a million times better than story mode of SC2.

About that whole only be a monk thing, do you actully think they would show us something they made if they actully wanted to make a character, I am guessing that is just a default guy there. :) Just trying to keep my hopes up.

This is the main thing i'm looking forward to the most, the konquest in DA was ok but it was more of a tarted up practice mode, Konquest for Deception is as it should be, i dont think it's just a monk that can be used, i'm sure i read somewhere that you can be different races and genders as time goes on and you collect different abilites etc, the monk screens shown so far are just to test the mode i dont think it's the default although i could be wrong.
