People are going to say that I'm stupid and retarded but what if that is just the sub-boss. I mean seriously no where in the trailer was their any identification of him being the Dragon King. Usually in the Mortal Kombat series the Sub-boss is a monster or something of a hybrid. Like Goro Dragon/Human, Kintaro Dragon/Human, Motaro, and Moloch. Maybe in Deception the sub-boss is a Reptilian-something hybrid which would explain Reptile's MK:DA ending and these pictures. I'm just saying maybe these pictures are released just so we can be satisfied and to decieve us later on when the game comes out.

Boon said that the DK would be the big beasty in this one. I think that the scaly, 10 foot tall winged guy with the tail fits the description of "big monster".
Check and mate.

but where does it say Dragon King? It maybe the Dragon king but it's not confirmed. Why would you show the real boss before a sub-boss? Also Big-Beasty could also be the another name for Boss. Just like the big Cahouna, Chief, HNIC, leader, blah blah and etc....

Mk:Da wasn't even finished so who even knows if they were suppose to be the real bosses of the game.

clever theory. imo it is the dragon king but it has not technically been proven. i am curious, do you think it could be a transformed reptile or the 3rd oni demon? it is tough to say it is not DK

It is the Dragon King because in Some of the characters endings in MKDA they mentioned the Dragon King with the image that you see in deception a big guy with horns.

Plus I had heard somewhere that the sub boss was going to be a creature with three heads. NOT TOO SURE.

That is clearly the Dragon King, just look at him. And if you're still not comvinced look at the MKD box art. I doubt they'll put the sub-boss on the front of the box. That is 100% the Dragon King.

If people want to base the their Dragon King theory on Mk:Da then in all of these pictures he should have a cane too just like in Mk:da in Raidens Ending. I'm saying typically in in Mortal Kombat the sub-boss is a monster of some kind. The game is called Deception so we could all be deceived about him being the Dragon King.

For one this guy does NOT look like the DK we saw in Raiden's ending in MKDA.

This guy is most likely the Dragon King but I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't. I mean, the sub-boss has always been more of a shocker than the actual boss.

What's the problem? So they chaned him. They made him look better. Raiden couldn't have possibly known how the DK looks like. IT'S THE DK 100%!!

Raiden would know of the Dragon King because he is Immortal so he's been around forever so I don't think he just missed the Dragon king for like a century? Just because the same person on the cover is on the same in the picture doesn't mean it's the Dragon King either.

You're arguing for nothing. Don't act like an asshole when you know it's him.

That creature does look somewhat reptilian but He's under the MKD logo so he's prob the Dragon King.

Some people amaze me.

It's the DK. The guy has all the features of a dragon, the wings, claws and scales.

Also they wouldn't put a sub-boss on the cover when a sub-boss is nothing more then a body guard for the boss. The boss is on the cover, the person on the cover is the DK, the person in the picture is the DK.

Case closed. End of Story.

Goro was on the cover of MK4. So there goes your argument.

I think he IS the DK... BUT inside reptile, when u beat him the REAAL crap spills (kind of like Lost Kingdoms, or Tekken3), and the DK leaves the mortal body and BAM! Turn it up a notch

It is the Dragon King. Just because he doesn't look like the pic in Raiden's ending doesn't mean that it isn't him. He's got wings, claws, scales, and a tail. Why would they call him the DRAGON KING if he didn't look somewhat like a dragon?

And it wasn't just a century that the Dragon King died, it was millennia. Raiden, though an observant god, could easilly forget what the DK exactly looked like. It's like trying to recall someone's face thousands of years after you've last seen it: you tend to get some of the details wrong.

And, the sub-boss has already been rumored to be a chimerical creature (not someone with three heads, like Cerberus, but an amalgam of creatures smushed together into one being), so that throws out the guy in the pics being the sub-boss.

The original poster predicted that he'd be called stupid for thinking that it wasn't the DK. He's right. The notion's stupid. It's the DK, stop arguing that it isn't.

It is the Dragon King. There is enough proof in this thread alone to show you that. A proper confirmation will most likely follow anytime soon.
