I guess what i was trying to say is that MKD and MK2 have a lot of simularities when you think about it sorry for the confusion i hope that helps.

I can see where these comparisons can be made, but the idea od anyone considering it Mortal Kombat 2.1 is inane. I don't think Boon went "You know, I think this next Mortal Kombat should be an update of ohhh, let's say the second one!" Similar, maybe. 2.1, absolutely not. And something relatively unrelated, is the dead pool really in Deception?

MK:D is MK2 for the next gen consoles it seems to be a lot darker like MK2 and yes it does have some MK2 characters/stages as for MK 2.1 i think not...

Hmm maybe there are similaries in the game because one is called Mortal Kombat 2, and the other Mortal Kombat Deception.

Have a look at both of the titles - they include "Mortal Kombat"! There always have been similarities in the games, otherwise it would not be titled Mortal Kombat!!

Yeah it is and it isn't.

It is as it is similar to that dark feel that mk2 had, and it isn't as it is an entirely different game now with different characters more developed stories that sort of thing. So the thing that makes it MK2.1 is the style. Even when I play MKDA it has an MK1ish sort of feel to it so Yeah I agree.
