Is there a chance that Scorpion and Shao-Kahn to appear?

From what's happened in past Mortal Kombat games, I would say that ANYTHING can happen.
I really hope Scorpion does return, and I actually don't see how Shao Kahn couldn't return. In the intro for Deadly Alliance, I noticed it doesn't actually say that Shao Kahn died.
Was Kahn's death just speculation? I don't think I've seen anything that actually confirmed his death.
Also, in the Deadly Alliance intro, Shao Kahn looked hella cool, and I hope he is in the next game.

I think that the MK team needs to keep up with the whole staying away from Shao Kahn thing even though I liked him as a character. As for Scorpion, I would actually like for him to be mentioned or seen in someone's ending instead of making him a playable or a hidden/secret character or even a character that you would fight. Keep him as a cliffhanger for MK7.

Scorpion will return because he is a evil spectre. He cant die because he is already dead.
Shao Kahn is a possibility. It would be fun to use him but it will be hard to make up an excuse for his death.

Well, about the Scorpion can't die deal, I think they handled it pretty well in his MKDA ending, having him be killed by the souls that came from Heaven into the Soulnado. Since Scorpion is from Hell, he would be destroyed by them. The thing is I doubt they will follow that ending, since another way more likely is Drahmin's, and if he was to betray Quan Chi, he wouldn't defend him like in Scorpion's ending. And we're all a little too curious to know what Drahmin turned into.
About Shao Kahn, he was said to be dead in MK6 by the MK Dev Team (to the no longer operational MKIntensive's Admin MinusZero/RedX). So that's that.

ur right, they probably wont follow scorpions ending. They wont make a game without scorpion no matter what happens to him.

Hell, with the history of MK, I could appear in MK6 . Peace and love ya'll.
Shao Kahn is immortal.
And even if so, We never saw him get killed in the intro just that he was beaten up.
I hope Shao Kahn won't return.
Scorpion will definatly return. He already missed MK3 and Midway got angry fan letters about that (Hence the ultimate MK).
