Is this MK2 all over again, with updated graphics and stuff?

im confused, is it like a sub zero mythologies? konquest? or a fighting game?, im really confused in this one, can someone tell me what its all about? oh and are caracters 2d? or like deception?

its going to be an adventure game that takes place during MK2 and leads up to MK3.

This will be a 3D Adventure game that will be taking place directly after MK1 and then concluding with the beginning of MK3. It will include EVERYONE from MK1 and MK2. It will include all of the environments of MK2. Will be focusing on multiperson fights. however will not be following the Ninja Gaiden (as well as some other games) formula of button mashing kill, kill, kill. Big focus on co-op play. Start off with basic moves but will upgrade and unlock moves as you continue on. will also unlock additional characters to play as. Raiden is the narrator
