it was supposed to be an alternative costume for him but it didnt fit in
I see, would have been cool though. I still think its his alternate costune maybe the third perhaps

Since Damashi (Onaga) said that Shujinko was the Champion of the Elder Gods, does that mean that Monster was the real one?

Doesn't it say like in Scorpion's ending that he is infact the chosen one by the Elder Gods? I think it may even say it in his bio, but I'm not 100% sure. Funny that Monster is basically Scorpon... hmm...
