According to the February issue of Nintendo Power... both Goro and Shao Kahn will be in the cube version of MKD. It looks 100% legit... seeing as how the entire article is an interview to Boon about the cube version. Theres 5 pictures... 4 from each different "modes" of play (something we've all seen a hundred times), but also a pic of Kahn... a high-res pic (like the ones on the MKD site with the character in front of the MK logo). Looks sweet. They will have finishers as well.

Interesting. I also hope in the GC version the recovery attacks are much faster.

February issue? That shouldn't even be in print yet, I think. Are you sure about this. What was their proof?

Well, I have seen the picture of Shao Kahn. It is 100% legit. It shows a whole article too, saying that the magazine confirms Kahn being in the GCN version of MKD.
They don't say anything about Goro though.

It's true. Goro's res is on the cover(on the bottom bar) and kahn's is in the article. It's basically a small interview and a few screens. The cover of nintendo power is of link :the minish cap.

Well, he wasn't lying about Goro and Shao Kahn.
Direct quote from the article:
"Since the Nintendo Gamecube version is coming out after the other versions, we wanted to add something exclusive and special to set it apart. People have always wanted to control the boss characters in MK, and now we are giving them the chance to control two of the biggest, baddest bosses from any MK game!"
It also mentions how they will have a variety of special moves, how they are very powerful, and will indeed have their own Fatalities.

I really don't see how Shao Kahn is going to be in MK:Deception. He was killed in Deadly Alliance and if Haviks ending is true then he was brought back using Dragon Kings heart. BUT if he is going to be in Deception as playable therefore playing against Dragon King his presence is not possible since the Dragon King needs to be dead for Shao Kahn to be back. So in other words, how is Shao Kahn fighting Dragon King if Dragon King was killed to ressurect Shao Kahn... Wierd, Wierd, Wierd!!! I don't think that picture is legitimate at all. As for Goro, I can't see it... but I'l eat my words if its true come June or whenever the GC version is released...

Kahn and Goro are coming back because of fan request. The team thinks about the fans 1st, before they try to fix the storyline. Its true... how is kahn coming back when the dragon king isn't dead. But the team doesn't care about that problem right now. So... hmm... try not to worry about it.
And how much more legit do you want it to be? Theres already been a screen of Kahn fighting Mileena... and MKO confirming thats legit... and now this. A popular gaming mag, a nintendo one at that, would not write up a fake interview... especially from someone as big as Ed Boon.
