This game takes place after mk1, right after kang beat tsung. Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Raiden. They are the only survivors, in the beginning, anyway, and you will see classics such as baraka, mileena, and sub-zero i dont know about scorpion or the others.

Yeah. This game will go into more detail of Kung Lao and Liu Kangs bios from MK2, in terms of events from MK1 to MK2.Possibly ending at the beging of the events of Mortal Kombat 3. My personal fav of the 2-D MK games btw. I can't wait.
