Like MK: DA , MK: Deception is going threw a balancing phase. Right now I am willin to be that the MK team is seeing how each fighting styles work and look best with each character. I highly don't think that Tanya and Jade will end up with the same fighting styles. MK: Deception is still a work in progress. I think that the MK team just either Tanya or Jade a fighting style just to show her off.

Ummmm, who cares!? Just because they have 1 fighting style that is the same doesn't mean that we have another Blaze and Mokap on our hands. The MK Team can't research and imput at least 60 fighting styles into MK. They have to copy from some people, as long as they have a different weapon and at least one different fighting style, I won't be wining my arse off.

Seriously... there are how many fighters in this game? Does everyone in the world have their own form of martial art or fighting skill solely for themselves and no one else? I think having a smilar or the same skill makes the game a bit more realistic. And like you said, at least they have different weapons.

First of all, I think it's a bit too late for testing; they should be touching up on it already., and (I'm not arguing or anything) I only pointed it out because to me, Jade and tanya look similar.

That might be an old test that they just released to say here is Jade and Tanya.

Too late? They've got almost 2 moths of development time left, I hardly think that's too little time to switch styles around. And for all we know, that footage might be months old already.

And as far as styles go, different people using the same style shouldn't necessarily have to mean identical movelists. In MK it might (it's known for cutting corners, after all), but in most fighting games, if characters use the same fighting style, it usually means they'll have a few similar/identical normal attacks, and little else. IMO some of the characters in MK SHOULD share styles, they just need to make sure not to do a half-assed job on it. For instance, it would make sense for all Lin Kuei characters to share at least one style, Jax and Sonya could both probably have sambo or another military-esque fighting style, and Kung Lao, Bo' Rai Cho and Liu Kang should probably have one or two styles shared among them, etc, etc.
Just because two characters use the same style on the paper, so to speak, there's nothing that says they can't play completely differently. Then again, I don't expect the MK team to do things this way anytime soon...

No worry, guys, they won't have the same fighting style... I HOPE in future games different characters will have the SAME fighting styles BUT with different combos... for example: Kitana and Ashrah both have Bagua

Yeah, but Kitana and Ashrah aren't in the same game(at least not to my knowledge) and they certainly do not look similar. I forgot who asked, but they both know Sun-Bin.

dumb people...don't you think a bit before posting these dumb threads? if you remember, when the first images from mkda came out, all the characters names, fighting styles and avatars were screwed...the same thing is happening with mkd...geez you guys don't have common sense...

MI think it would make sense that they have similar if not the same fighting styles, theyre from edenia, and prob got taught by the same masters and kitana probably knows them too. Id say one will have Eagle claw too.
