If Jax lost the metal arms and again relied on his own strength, I wouldn't mind him as a champion. He needs to lose the majority of his home-boy attitude as well.

I think killing Hsu Hao is the beginning for Jax.He might kill someone else in deception but I hope it's not Mavado because this guy is the mk murderer..

Personally, I dont like Jax, and never have. But that aside, I dont think he should be MK Champion as He's never been that important to the game storyline. Jax being champion just wouldnt seem right to me.

He's not in Sonya's shadow, and killing Sonya would be the stupidest plotline for Jax in any game. MK2 Jax was the best of any Jax, and he needs to revert back to that.

Jax wasnt very interesting to play as... the " yo yo " attitude made him kinda fun but then all he does is shoot his gun and does a couple of punches and then weapon sucked... but yea sorry but i dont think he should be champ

Sonya been holding Jax back he's always looking out for her. She's playing him. Sonya is his true weakness without her he would be unstoppable.

I don't think Jax should become the next Mortal Kombat champion. I feel that Jax was always a supporting character. Jax is an elite soldier who fights for Earthrealm and that is where it is left at. If Jax's storyline should get sophisticated and complicated, Jax should get in trouble with the Red Dragon.

How would you like Jax's storyline if Sonya Blade was kidnapped by Mavado and he forces Jax to report information about Earthrealm's warriors in order to for her to survive. Jax would be caught in the middle of this war with Outworld and he would have to choose between letting his partner down, or making the chances for Earthrealm to win in Outworld decrease. I think that Jax would be really dangerous because he would be backed down into a corner and he would be very pissed off, that should show in his fighting style.

Jax as champion would be extremly ridiculous and very very lame.

But to answer the thread...even though Jax is one of my most beloved characters it could never happen. There's just too many reasons for it not to.

Jax as MK champion won't happen. I don't like him and wouldn't want him to be the champion. As a character he is boring and very stereotypical. He needs to lose the metal arms and the ghetto attitude. His look needs to change and he needs to have a better story and more serious role and look.

To be honest I could care less who is the new 'champion' since there isn't a real tournament to declare one and if there is it will/should not occur until the next 'generation.' He is already one of Earth's Champions . Jax is one of the chosen to defend Earthrealm against invasion from Outworld, or any other realm. That is what the MK Champion was meant to do alone in the tournament, but when Shao Kahn broke the rules a need for more than one champion arose. Jax, along with Sonya, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero and others became these champions, the Chosen. (Was Johnny ever one of the Chosen since he was not in MK3/UMK3? *scratches head and shrugs*)

However, I do wish Jax would go back to being pure military. What once was a great character is now little more than a joke. If he gets any worse, he'll be up there with Mokap on the crapiness meter.

I never ranked Kang as an A-Lister. Maybe MK1 and 2, but not now. He's on my Why Won't He Just Die For Good And Let Someone Else Take His Place List.
Jax needs to lose the hood attitude, and ditch the metal arms. They've both gotten out of hand. It's turned him into a stereotype.

Until MKDA, where he got really retarded, I always liked Jax. Jax is far better as the no nonsense, straight laced strongman soldier he originally was. But MK champion material he ain't, Jax is more suited to supporting roles. He's the reliable backup, the guy who watches out for the hero back and steps in to help them.

Since he's confirmed to be in, I just hope they've listened to the many fans who were put off by his stupid wannabe rapper act last game.

I don't really care what happens to Jax. I personally don't care if he dies or dissapear for ever. To me he was just an "OK" character
