He must have been playing around because he had shades of skill with the 10 hit combo, but then never did it again even though he speared him twice more.
He seemed really passive and allowed the IGN guy to hit him into the grinder

I don't know why everyone puts Boon on a pedestal like he can play like some god.
He doesn't spend all of his time playing the game you know. I'm sure he wasn't playing his best, but I would wager that he's not any better than the medium-high level players here in the Kommunity.
And I really think some of the high-level players here could wipe the floor with him.

Eh, I don't think the man's a god but he did program the game so you'd think that he'd know the little intricisies of it. Besides that, the man has been working on DA and Deception for the last couple of years now. In that time, I'm sure he's played quite abit besides all the programming he's doing. IGN has touched the game, what, a handeful of times.

Hmm, no I remember an interview with boon and tobias ages ago. They asked if they were better than the game testers. And not only did they say no, but they said they are actually quite bad.

In the videos, they are obviously just showing up the game, you can see that they both fooling around a bit, and at some point in one of the video, you see one of the guy strugling to pick up the hammer, you hear Boon saying "Press the white button".
I mean its obvious considering how they are staging the instant death stuff + multi tiered level stuff.

WTF cares if Boon is good or not. Boon is gonna take your money. Who REALLY sucks in the end??

if i had never seen mk before and went by those latest videos i would be bored and not too interested in the game. all of ign's vids look so clunky and button-mashed. mkda had a healthy combo system despite few special moves, few pop-up moves, and juggle caps. they sure do not sell the full potential of the fighting enging very well on any website thus far. they should put a warning that scrolls across the screen saying *we have kindergarten skills - do not base game on our lack of ability*

That's why the IGN guy was gloating that even though he lost in the long run, he could still say he beat Boon twice. (Thus why only two videos are of him winning Boon)
Plus, Like someone stated earlier. When he was playing as scorpion he went into a 10 hit combo, and never attempted it again. When he was playing against Nightwolf, he was doing very well at the beginning with the combo breakers etc...Then just stopped and let him get Death Trapped. And the Bo Rai Cho match seemed like they were just messing with the stage weapon (If you notice the IGN guy asks Boon how to pick it up, and never get's it out).
Bah i dunno... *Feels for Boon either way... lol*

Just because someone makes/invents/programs something it doesn't mean they are the best at it...
i.e. A race car engineer/specialist isn't going to be faster/better on the track than a pro race driver.
Someone who designs a map in counter-strike doesn't make that person the Best Player ever on that map in cs.
Creating/programming a game engine is different that using/playing the game.

I remember somewhere he said he gets wooped around the office all the time and he needs more practice. From the looks of it, everytime he has played he has displayed a similar skill lvl. I think this is all he as, no holding back. Everyone can get a simple combo like that 10hit at least once.
