Johnny Cage [In MK8]

I say that Cage should return in MK8. I would like to see him with his MKSM look, which includes his costume and the fierce facial look. We need a more twisted character in Cage. I'm not saying twisted as in turning evil, just a twisted look to him. Enough of the Hollywood Star, crap! Get rid of the gun period as well. He should have these specials; Green high and low ball, shadow kick, shadow uppercut, split punch. I know that he could also get newer moves. It's just to say.
Overall, Cage should come back with a more badass look! What are your thoughts?

Never liked him and won't fit the whole new mk feel. Plus it's impossible to make Cage look badass.

I think Cage is one of those characters who have no reason to return, one of those the game should leave behind. I don't see how and why he could go on.

I don't think that Johnny should return, I think he's an ass clown just like Bo'Rai Cho....He is a pretty crappy character with a pretty crappy background...

Ok I for one actually liked Johnny Cage (in MK1, MK2 & MKSM ). He was a fun character and his nut punch always made me laugh. However the chances of Cage returning in MK8 are slim to none dude.sad

I like Johnny Cage but I think he should be one of the characters that get a nice end to their story unlike pieces of crap like Hsu Hao who should be beaten to death with his own crappinessglasses

Yo Subzeroyeti, why in the hell you talking trash about HsuHao for? Geez Man! He kinda happens to be in my likings as a character. He was a tad spiced up in MKA from MKDA at least. Hell, I'd want him in MK8 if it were possible.

Unless somehow, Cage comes back with a new serious attitude with no jokes and no funny business, I'll say he should. Otherwise, if Midway decides to keep him as a "Jokester" character, I say no. MK fails when funny comes in contact with serious. It makes the game incredibly foolish. And I'm saying this only for my own opinion, I'm not fighting with anyone about my opinion.

I would love that Cage is part of MK8, but it's not gonna happen. MK8 will focus on serious characters like vampires... hehehe
I think the MK team won't say if he's dead or not to bring him back in MK 9 or 10.

Remember: past things always return.

Although he FINALLY got character and story development in MKA, I'd rather see him retire. To me, he just isn't worth bringing back.

Technically, Johnny Cage has died only once. His MK3 and MK4 stories were retconned.

Yeah your right he was better in MkA I only just played as him but his apperance in MKDA kind of sunk his ship

I'm with your post 100%, Casselman! That's why I said that Cage should look more ferious (MKSM). Or he could be raging looking? I'd say ferious without the shades and a better costume.
I don't think Johnny deserves to die, but at least take his powers away (And transfer them to certain emerald assassin who has one of Mr. Cage's moves already.)wink

I think Johnny Cage will be in MK8 because in www.noob.com there are 4 animals and the first letter of them create the word RAGE. If you play the subway station level on MKA you will see a poster named CAGED RAGE and has johny's picture. So maybe it has a connection with this.

I don't think Johnny Cage should come back. When I think "old character who should retire and let newer characters take the spot" Cage is one of the first guys that spring to mind. Sure, he finally got a development in Armageddon and finally takes things seriously...but I don't see this as a new beginning. I see it as closure. I don't think he's worth revamping and even if they did, I would not buy him as a serious main character anyway.

After all these years i was fan of Johnny Cage. MKA, MK2, MKT, MK4, MKDA, MKArmagddon... if Johnny Cage makes not the cut i will be very sad.
I just hope he will be in.

No. He shouldn't return. If Boon's planning to have many characters return, then maybe he should but since only a few will return, I'd rather have him killed off already.

I don't think he should return. I think the most fitting thing for Johnny Cage's new enlightened heroic character, is to sacrifice himself to defeat someone like Onaga during Armageddon, or he becomes enlightened, like Nightwolf and Liu Kang, and becomes sort of a "joint guardian" of Earthrealm.

That way he could return as a character in the next generation's version of "Trilogy" or "Armageddon."
