1. Because it has blu ray so I can see blu ray movies in it.
2. Better hardware.
3. Better Joypad.
4. God of war 3.
5. No red rings of death.

The question is does it play pefectly??!!! I just don't understand the whole non-USA compatibility for sure, but I ordered mine anyway...crossing fingers.

Shame I have to miss out on special stuff, but I would rather have it uncensored. Now if Boon comes out with some kind of unlock code..I am going to have to do something very bad!

As for why would anyone want a PS3 it also has UNCOMPRESSED HD MASTER AUDIO capability and it is an SACD player, not to mention alot more support i.e. firmware upgrades and lastly being able to play the back catalog of most all other Mortal Kombat (excluding only Mortal Kombat gold)games. Nuff said.

Because a PS3 doesn't come with a RROD guarantee and it doesn't require multiple repairs... plus, the D-Pad is far superior for fighting games.

Y'know, the Xbox controller frustrates me too, but rather than buy a console that costs $100 extra, I'm just gonna get a 3rd party controller. The Madcatz one's got a nice d-pad, I hear.

I just got both versions(got the US version for the extras...which are a bit dissapointing!), but I am worried about Downloadable content.

Will USA downloadable content be a problem on the Euro version? Am I screwed...or is it just best to appreciate that I have the uncensored version....or do I keep both??

I really would rather just keep the Euro version if it would be compatible with American content. Wish this could be tested!

I myself, I have never seen anything better. Some of the movies and video games have completely blown away. Only time will tell about the programmers getting their heads out of their asses and actually using the hardware to the fullest extent.

I'm willing to bet money the downloadable content will be released in Europe. They want as much money as possible and doubt it's harder to release it for Europe than for US.

Question bout the ps3 version, on the back of the box the only hd resolution is 1080p, does that mean that's the only one it'll do as i have a 1080i tv.
