I doubt they are going to keep Smoke like that. The transpart thing is cool but other than that he looks like crap. We can't even see Kabal to judge him. They will make some kickass costumes for them. I trust Boon and the design team will make some cool shit for them. They better.

just wait til midway comes up with an exclusive full body render of kabal. from the looks of it, his mask looks different. & theres also an alternate outfit, so dont complain.

As in if I like their outfit? I think Mileena had quite a makeover, and despite how much I don't like Li Mei as a character, I think she's looking pretty good. Ermac got an overall and is looking sharp. Kira has quite a nice outfit, and Sub-Shredder's looking pretty badass too.

I think what you're referring to was a piece of news that said Kabal would return with a completely new look and that Sektor and Smoke would return as cyborgs. A few days later it was proven to be false story.

I was disappointed too at first, but I've studied the pic a little more, and made some new conclusions.

First of all, the color scheme looks different. My memory isn't that great, but I recall Kabal wearing a leather jacket type thingy(don't know any real term for it), with a black/tan scheme. The tan pants haven't changed, but for MKD he seems to be wearing a green combat shirt with a black sleevless vest. Either way, I'll need a better look before I can fully judge.

All I know is that everyone complained how much Scorpion didn't change, and we all know now that he looks completely different once we saw later pics.

Personally i could care less if Kabal looks the same, he's always been one of my favs and i thought his old outfit looked killer and it still does, and plus even if it is the same (which its prolly not exactly) its also in 3D now and would still look different.

I'm actually very relieved that Kabal has not changed. I don't think he needed a makeover. His MK3 look is fine by me. Everyone else has departed drastically from their old appearances, and I think it's nice to see at least one person in classic get-up as a primary costume (I hope).

I'm also glad that Kabal didn't change. I liked his MK3 outfit.

I will also add by saying that I think that Smoke's new look kicks ass. He looks a lot better than he ever did. The MK team made a very wise decision by them doing that.

The only thing I don't like is that little beard they gave him.... it just doesn't look right lol.

There's going to be 2 alt outfits, so if anyone doesn't like Kabal coming back with his MK3 look then you still got 2 choices.

I like seeing Kabal come back in his MK3 look since that look suits him fine. Also you can see Kabal fine. I don't see why people keep saying that you can't see him. Only thing that is hard to see is his mask but even then you can see that it's almost the same with some slight changes.

what i do not understand about you pre-puberty retards is...why do you suddenly forget each character has more than one outfit? shut the hell up. be glad kabal is even in the game. every single new thing has to be bitched about and cried over. nothing they do is good enough or right.

JUST loike SINDEL, this is Kabal’s first 3D game, so I think its a MUST to make him have his old Mk3 outift.

REMEMBER characters have more then 1 costume.

Kabal looks amazing.

I think that they made enough changes to make it look new, while retaining the look he had from MK3. What I saw:

1) His mask IS different. It doesn't look like a big square box on his face anymore. It looks like you can almost make out parts of his face that the mask doesn't cover, but I couldn't see it that well.
2) His shirt is a different color as well, as Temp pointed out. It's either army green or gray, I can't really tell yet.
3) I don't know if anyone has noticed this yet, but to me it looks like he's wearing something like a brown vest coat. If you notice, the color of the vest on his chest, is the same as the color draping down between his legs behind him, and no, that's not part of the wall.
4) The muscles! Come on, Kabal was a shrimp in MK3. He's huge in this game!

So I think there are enough changes. I'll wait until I can actually see his helmet/face before I judge, but so far I like what I see. Yes, as about a HUNDRED people have pointed out already (some more asshole-like than others) there are other costumes, at least one of which I'm predicting will be a much more drastic departure. Just my opinion.

Well maybe his mk3 costume is one of his alternates and his primary costume will be different? I mean it could happen.

i think we need to wait for a better shot or a render of kabal b4 we start to criticise his look!

i am soo glad he has his MK3 look, new looks are not that great. i mean look at "Smoke" and lei mei palette swap ass, with a yellow tanya outfit and a blue kitana outfit and lei mei now has the meleena look again and now the green outfit is lei meis face also. lei mei is unoriginal cause of her stupid NEW OUTFITS. get rid of those and stay with her DK army look.

reptiles new look LOL you wanted it and look what happened, and the "smoke guy(who by the way we know that hidden shadow fighter who we thought was a shokan or reptile in the fighter selet screen is that grey "smoke" guy. I also look at smoke, and noticed that he looks like he has a drahmin mask and a quan chi body and gloves. BUt i know the merge never happened in MKDA.

but anyway you hate most of the new looks and i thought kabal would suffer the same fate. and now look, he has his MK3 look and i am soo fucking proud. he has another outfit that will loook totally different i bet, but as long as he also has his MK3 loook i am happy as hell. I also wanted the MK3 look but with a chrome mask a new looking mask. I got just that an MK3 kabal with a new mask, this mask is all chrome and the old one was black with red in the middle, kabal looks badass and we only know 2 gameplay things about him so far, he has got his hookswords back!!! with (tape around the handles) and he has his fireball thing back and hopefully lei mei palette swap ass doesnt have the same fireball again.

kabal looks cool, and we now see noobs shadow outfit again which shows it wasnt canceled and that the purple guy is skab.

i just came back to this forum and i didnt know who that grey guy was, but i dont think its smoke dammit i wanted to see his face. anyway i hope the guy is related to quan chi instead and that the grey guy isnt smoke.

back on subj kabal looks great and he has another outfit u morons that cant think.(an outfit or 3)

I'm surprised you guys can even see Kabal that well. I think he's too far away and his facemask is mostly concealed by the fireball he just fired. Guess I need my glasses... :/ I'm just happy he's in the game.

thats true the outfit we are seeing could be one of his alt outfits and his main one is tottally different instead of it being the original one like sub zero in mkda.
