I have finally been able to play as all the characters in practice and arcade mode enough to critique all of them.... I must say that I am not very pleased with the way Kenshi turned out...
Judo was my least favorite stance from DA because I hate the fact that 1, and 2, are horribly captured throws. San Shou was much better in my opinion.
2. While he did get some new special moves, his telekinetic slam got raped severely. No longer can you do a lift, slam, lift, slam, throw for 40-45% damage. Ya, I have seen people pull off a lift, slam, quick 3 punches and slam but it is easier said than done.
3. The Katana sword has completely been changed and I do not like it one bit. Does anyone else find it to be very risky in terms of leaving you wide open for retribution if blocked? Its combos are so slow and not as strong as DA. He only has one lifter with it now as well whereas DA had a few I believe. Isn't it funny that I can do a 10 hit combo with jade or raiden and its like 35-40 something damage but Kenshis ground 10 hit is about 25?
Maybe its just me, but I miss the Kenshi of old. I was looking forward to using DA Kenshi online, but I guess I can't do that now that he's been screwed around with so much. I still like his story and look though at least.

I agree about your statements on Kenshi. Up until this mourning I had gone without playing him. While playing arcade on max difficulty, I found his combos are a bit slow, and require percise timing, reguardless I always seemed to get hit while performing a combo. His specials are decent, but nothing....special. However, I was overall pleased with Kenshi. One of the few MK:D kombatants worth taking the time to learn. Not to mention a completely awesome story, and original charactor.

ya lets hope so.... I think his ending would have been better though if after he killed hotaru, he turned on sub zero... because now that shang tsung is apparently dead, he appears to have no motivation to fight. He's trying to get back home to earthrealm.... Perhaps Tsung dying at the hands of someone else fuels him to turn evil since he missed his chance at reveange. off the subject though.... I wish he was like DA still.
