Neither. I dont like Kira and Sonya has been the same in terms of storyline since MK. She's after Kano?Black Dragon...she's after Kano/Black Dragon...she's after Kano/Black Dragon....WE GET THE POINT!!!!!!!!!!
Most of the other characters' storyline have evolved a great deal. Ok there are always similarities and overlaps in storyline, but Sonyas has been pretty much the same. Similarly Scorpion, Mileena and Johnny Cage. its getting a bit boring. IF Sonya got a revamped storyline, then yeah let her come back, if not leave her out, and definitely leave Kira out. Shes got to be the worst newbie character. Her and that ass Kobra. Theyre Sonya/Cage wannabes.

I go for Sonya. Loved her since the first MK. In MKDA she was powerfull. Now she is out, but as Ed Boon say "definitely sonya will be in future MK"
And now she does not goes after Kano... she goes after Kabal, the NEW Black Dragon.

MKkitana i agree with you. i mean sonya has played out her storyline. "Kano killed my parter.....i must kill kano" if ed brings her back like he said he would there better be some major adjustments. kira is ok she does seem like a sonya fill in but who isnt anymore. i think they added too many newbies over the course of mk too fast, so fast that they ran out of thinking time. so on the topic of this thread i would pick kira over sonya because sonya is old news, nothing new not even fatality wise. i mean in MKDA her fatality was the same only they started puking before they died....very original midway!!!!!! i vote kira.

lets us not forget the Red Dragon now. but anyways Sonya by far. Kira should just explode or something. i hate her so much. im not a big fan of Sonya either

I know I said Id prefer neither, but If i HAD to choose one, I'd choose Sonya over Kira. but she need maor storyline reworks. Like a lot. Probably why Sonya, Kitana, Kung Lao, Jax, Cage conveniently sat out Deception. (Altho Kitana and Jax have moved on more than the others.)

Kira seems more hardcore to me, plus she is a black dragon... therefore in my book better.

Kira seems like a sort of filler for Kano and Sonya to me. I mean she has their special moves and fighting styles.

Kira, she's hotter, and more hardcore as mentioned above, not a fucking barbie. I wish she had her own moves though.

Sonya, hands down, no questions ask, Kira is no more than a ripeoff of Sonya and Kano, that was the turn off for me.

Kira. Sonyas is stale and kinda overstated IMO. She is still a good character and i would like to have them both, but if i had to pick one, i would pick kira. She jsut looks meaner and has that edge to her that i think most characters lack. And its not her fault that she is a mixture of kano and sonya, but what a mixture it was!! Shes pretty good in the game, has a nice story and should be given her chance toi shine, without hvaing others' moves.

The thing is, if Sonya and Kira had to face-off what styles would both of them use? I was kinda confused, when I saw Kiras styles, but in the game she rocks with them. Sonya should get Krav Maga instead of the lame Ken-po, that would suit her more, since she is a soldier in someway.

In MK some fo the styles do not really fit man.. Sometimes because of the outworldly nature of the characters and sometimes due to poor work by midway. leopard dont really fit nitara, but then and again she is a vampire, so nothing would do well on her. jun fan for LK and perhaps dragon for sub, taichi for kenshi and snake for shang were pretty justified, as were some of the female styles which were mainly internal in nature, meanin smaller size and less power is negated. Some styles which do not fit are monkey for noob. he does not strike me as a lively fighter with a smaller build and a huge array of obnoxious weapons. noob is more laidback and shadowy.
Anyways, i feel that sonya should have gotten judo, and kira should have gotten a more NHB style, complete with gouges, rakes and the like. dragon teeth, whatever they are, look great on her though!!

Bah i can't stand either of them but i despise Kira more as she is just a cheap female version of Kano......and obviously i would have been a hell of a lot happier if Kano had been in Deception instead.........afterall the Black Dragon sucks without him.

In terms of appearance and character, i vote Kira, but Sonya's TKD was hella cool. Not a bad alt. outfit either. Could well go either way in MK7.

That is the prob. We have too many good guys and the baddies keep dying... We need more bad guys. good guys sometimes feel like carbon copy goody two shoes. Only sub and scorp can walk the line without lookin stupid

too many good guys?the whole good alliance died in DA....I think in deception the bad guys are a eehhh preponderance
