first off, Kira is way to ugly to be Sonya. Sonya is beautiful and she is more muscular then Kira. and (i cant believe im saying this) Kira's.......um......twins is way more bigger then Sonya. there face is all different, Kira has this oval stretchy face and Sonya has a round face. Sonya cant be Kira.

Number one Kira and Sonya rock. I think for some reason Kira is just better. This might be because I hate Deadly Alliance. But Kira is 100% better. But your idea is good and would be a Great twist. But Kira is has to much potential for great story if it involed her vs Sonya.

no offense, but that is almost as dumb as the "Mavodo = Kabal" incident. I guess Sonya escaped Onaga and used her jedi mind reading powers (that she had the whole time, but didn't tell anyone about) to find out that Kabal was looking for recruits, so as fast as she could, died her hair, got breast implants, ran to Afghanistan, sold weapons to terrorists (wich she didn't realize at the time would not be too healthy for americans), found Kabal, followed him to New York, busted a homicidal maniac on the top of the most wanted list out of jail, helped Kabal do his thing, killed Kobra, undied her hair, cut her amazing jumbies off, and jumped in the cell with her old buds just in time for Ermacs ending, all the while not really giving a rats @$$ about the whole 'Onaga taking over the world' situation, right?

No, I guess they wouldn't use the idea if they were worried about b&*chy fans who think every ending and bio from every Mortal Kombat was canon.
So, I guess that means no Mortal Kombat took place after the 1st one since Raiden destroyed the earth! Besides, it was just an idea because there were too many female characters in this game with little depth in their storylines. This would be a way to bring Sonya back with a vengeance! Either way, glad to be getting some responses. And no offense taken for my "dumb idea". I posted it to get all reactions.

It is an interesting idea. The only real counter that I saw and agreed with was Ermac's ending(if it is true). The fact that she doesn't look a whole lot like Sonya means absolutely nothing. The idea that "Kira's boobs are much bigger, so it couldn't be Sonya," is, of course, ridiculous. Boob sizes change every game. The appearance of the characters has very little to do with anything story-related. The obvious exceptions are Jax, Reptile, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero and Raiden. And those were major changes. They weren't something as small as a slightly different facial shape or muscle-build. Besides, Sonya actually wears clothing that somewhat conceal her form, so it's difficult to see her musculature. As for Sonya breaking Kobra out and selling weapons, well, have you ever seen the TV show, 24? The main character broke out one of the biggest drug-lords out of prison, did heroin, and killed a member of his team in order to infiltrate and stop a terrorist organization. Yes, the story was far-fetched that time too, but if it has been used by one writer, it can be used by others. I wouldn't ever say, "That is just too ridiculous for the MK Team to use," when it comes to a potential storyline. After all
