Well I’m still hoping Kitana will be a Secret Character but I doubt she will be at the main select screen, especially now that Raiden and Jax have been confirmed (which is strange because that makes 7 MKDA characters). I have noticed on MKO’s E3 screens that Ashrah has Kitana’s “Ba Gua” style at this point.

Boon confirmed that there will be more then 24 characters, but we don’t know if he means secret characters, the characters what make an appearance in Konquest or something else. Maybe because all the characters make an appearance you can unlock some of them and play with some of them I don’t know. But I still have my hopes up for Kitana, let’s hope we get some more information about what he means with the character roster with the next update.

I still have my fingers crossed. I wish she was in this game. The feel of the game wont be the same for me without her presence in the game. The same goes for Sonya. Now that raiden is confirmed that means the story has been altered. Supposively he was going to die. So maybe the whole story about kitana being captured could have changed who knows. Hopefully it will. I think boon knows already what the fans want. He knows mileena and sindel are in the game and that some fans would want kitana in the game because her rival and mother are in it. So i think he might be teasing us by making us think shes not playable but could end up being a secret character. Lets just hope she gets to be a secret character.

Yeah, Kitana is DEFINATELY a must. The Kitana and Mileena feud needs to be revived once again. Although, Kitana not being in the game is also a possibility, because they had Kitana in MK: DA without Mileena, so they are probably giving Mileena a chance. . . Who knows???

I think that kitana is probably gonna be emulated (Like li mei to mileena) by either Li Mei or Tanya.... probably li mei, since she has to have new weapons (Sais are mileena's now) and one of her outfits is lot like kitana's (just like in DA her 2nd one was similar to mileena's)

BTW: I hope tanya gets cool fighting moves, not just fireballs and physical attacks

Well if they decide to add kitana, it would be kinda easy because they could use the same character model as in the past game with a few changes and i would be extremely happy with that. And with some new moves as well.

i wouldnt mind if they did use the same charcter model from mkda..they just need to give her all her moves from mk2-4 but instead of her air punch move(since jumping doesnt happen as much as it did in mk-mk4) she should have a move just like takis from sc/sc2 where she jumps high in the air over her foe..she should also have her fan wave move from mk2-4 since juggles will be a big part of mkd it would be better for her foe to go into the air and not towards her..just 1 thing is that she should be able to throw her fan as many x's as she wants..i was real pissed that u could only use it once as a projectile.kung lao threw his hat and got it back,i mean this is mk not real life...i think the player should choose to stab it into her foes head(then she will lose her projectile)....

As long as Kitana is the ONLY character who gets the fans. If there's no Kitana, brother, there sure as HELL better not be any fans. If they give them to (gag, of all people) Li Mei, not only will I NOT buy the game, I'll never buy another MK again.

Otherwise... I'll look forward to playing through as Sindel to the end, to rescue Kitana and unlock her as a secret character :)

Why would you guys automatically assume Li Mei would take Kitana's steel fans? I don't see how anybody could logically put those two together...

Oh, and currently Li Mei uses melons as her weapons so there's really no reason to worry.

Well it says "Melon" so I'm assuming it's only ONE weapon. Mabye it's just one huge melon with spikes.

If it had spikes it wouldn't really be a Melon.

okay, i love kitana just as much as the next person... but im kinda happy that she is sittin this one out, and there's a chance for Sindel and Mileena to enjoy the limelight for a lil bit. Even though i would love for the three of em to be in the same game, and that would make things that much more interestin.. it really doesn't crush me that Kitana is taken a breather.

I am hoping Kitana will be playable in MKD. She should be in the game. I don't want any of her styles given to Tanya. Tanya needs her own styles.

On the official trailer, there is a female ninja dressed in blue fighting Mileena. I guess Kitana is in the game then.

That would be Li Mei's alternate costume, unless I'm mistaken.

I hope they keep kitana out of it..she's fuggin annoying..ever since mk2, You jump ur caught in her fan and boom flying punch..same wit mkd I walk upto her I get combo'd, I jump into her I get caught in that teleport shit..but I still manage to win just sayin it requires more work cuz shes a cheap skank hoe from d0wn below =D

Well, Kitana is one of my favourite characters, but I'm not devastated that she isn't in this game. It'd be nice if she was playable, but i think Tanya, Mileena and Sindel have the potential to be strong female characters. Before now it has really only been Kitana and Sonya, and I think it's time to let the others have a go. I think alot of you guys are scared to let new or other characters have a go at being good, so I'm all for waiting and seeing. If she is in it, then great, if she isn't, then never mind.

You write, Kitana needs to stay out of this game and give the other female characters a chance, yet you don't even mention anything about Sub-Zero or Scropion. Personally, I'm getting tired of those two. They've been in practically every MK games and it's always the same spear and ice ball. Why not leave them out and give the other male warriors a chance?!

Because Midway won't make any money. Only a FRACTION of consumers will buy a Mortal Kombat without Sub-Zero and Scorpion. They're MK's trademarks.
