im wishing to hear that kitana and kung lao are in the game. reasons why i like kitana and kung lao are that they have unique weapons/attributes. kung lao has his hat, and kitana has her fans. the game would be wierd if someone else used fans. so i hope kitana will be in the game.

I think that Kitana will be playable as a secret character, im hoping, and think she will be the same as MK:DA in terms of her fighting styles, jsut maybe have a different look.

I wouldn't rule Kitana out as an ulockable, secret character. You KNOW there WILL be secret characters - and she's a better bet than most would be. Hell, the game practically revolves around her, with Sindel, Mileena, AND Liu Kang (rumor only?) - all central figures to her character - returning in MK6.

Keep the faith, Kitana fans... we're not out of this thing yet.

I 100% agree with both of the written above.

As for Kitana's changes, she should look more elegant than Mileena (like having innocent eyes, longer legs...).

In addition, if Kitana is going to be in MK:D she must not have the 'Kiss of Death' fatality anymore. Kitana has many potentials of doing a much better fatalities (like cutting her opponent into pieces by hitting him/her repeatedly with her fans or...) and I don't know why the MK team is focusing on her old/classical fatalities, they are not giving her other fatalities chances.

Finally, Kitana is a MUST.
No wonder that the MK team is making a BIG BIG mistake by eliminating Kitana from MK:D.
I hope that the MK team won't make another unforgivable mistake that equals to the previous mistakes of not having more than one Fatality per character or even one Stage Fatality in MK:DA.

Just remember that Kitana is considered as one of the main characters. She's the "Eternal Queen of Eden", meaning that she's the leader of the female characters.

Kitana is a MUST.

I really want Kitana in this game as much as the next Kitana fan but if they hold her back til Mortal Kombat 7, they'll probably have Jade and Kitana together which is a double bonus since Jade is my second all time fav. female character.

One last thing about Kitana.

As u can see, many have realized from previous information about MK:D (from pics, movie previews...) that the MK team is somehow trying to revive the MK2 feeling but without Kitana this is almost lost and I'm one of the regular fans of MK's series but MK2 is extremely special, it has a unique feeling (u can see it from my username). Kitana and her clone Mileena played a major role in the MK2 feeling.

I'm glad that Baraka is back, Liu Kang should also be back (with his dragon ability) and Kitana too (with her fan throws).

Kitana MUST return and it would be better is they add a sense of strangeness in her hidden part of her face which is mostly her lips, they should be glittering/sparkling or...and as I said before, NO 'Kiss of Death' fatality anymore, another better fatality with her lips can be performed same as for her fan fatality.

Yeah I reckon Kitana is a safe bet as a secret character. The more you think about it, the more sense it makes. Like someone said before, the game in a way revolves around her. She must be hell of iimportant if the Dragon King went to the trouble of capturing her.
She is allied/involved with most of the main groups from the game, the Earth Fighters, Edenians, Outworld and The Shokans.
And also bringign back Tanya, Sindel, Mileena,and maybe Liu Kang (but he might be evil)prooves that Kitana is important.
I think the didnt include her in the starting line up is because a lot of people complained about her storyline, or lack of it. Always about wanting to seve Edenia etc, but I think having her captured and reintroducing her key storyline characters is a way for the developers to evolve her more. I definitley think she will be in Deceptionas a hidden fighter, and be back in action in MK7. LONG LIVE KITANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't see them making a MK game with BOTH Mileena and Sindel and not adding Kitana. If they do, I'll be very disappionted. I agree that she should have some new fatalities. I'm hoping for a particularly gruesome one involving her fans (just imagine the possibilities). They wouldn't have to do much, since she was one of the strongest contenders in MK:DA, just maybe tweak her fan style a bit, or if they wanted to go for a big change, lose the Ba Gua style and give her something more "ninja-esque", like Taijutsu or Koppojutsu. She's a integral to the story and Kano or Sonya or any of the other more popular characters, and in my opinion MORE important to the story and more interesting or a character. I really, REALLY hope they do not leave her out, or, even worse, leave her out and add (gag) Tanya instead. I hate her. She was supposed to be Kitana in the first place. And she wears yellow. There should be a dual fatality where Kitana and Jade rip her in half.

I see what your saying about letting the other have their moment to shine, but If the "not so popular" female characters are well done and have really cool moves and all, then they would shine no matter what.

I'd really like to see her in this game but revamped in some way. In MK:DA, once you'd thrown the fans, she sucked. Her fighting styles weren't very good and she only had one special move left to do - the pretty kick I reckon if she's back they'll give her at least ONE new fighting style. As for her fans, it would be stupid to give them to someone else, they wouldn't suit anyone but her.

It's not so much about how the game would suffer without her presence, but with Sindel & Mileena returning, it's more a matter of how much the game would *benefit* WITH her presence. Sure, the MK team can make a game without her - but with Sindel and Mileena both coming back, how much richer could the game be WITH her?

I think making her a secret character is perfect.

I agree 100% I REALLY hope Kitana isn't left out. . .
