You are probable right. I’m really curious though how this unlocking characters in konquest will work. I hope we get a lot of them.

According to realiable sources, Kitana is captured in the DK Palace (I believe that we can see Kitana in the stage of DK).

Kitana is one of my favorite characters, but she sure get's caputred allot. And I like the idea of her being under evil control, switch her up a little and have her look different.

Thanks. She's my favourite too, I would rather have Kitana return as evil then not playable at all. But I guess we have to wait and see if she’s playable. Maybe a secret character.

I think Kitana should not become evil again. I had already seen Kitana as an evil character in Mortal Kombat 2 when she served Shao Kahn.

I like the idea of Kitana as a prisoner of the Dragon King. Kitana had connected many story plots together in the past. I think many characters both good and evil will be connected again because of Kitana's imprisonment.

Jade, Sindel, Tanya, Mileena, Baraka, and the Dragon King are all going to be affected by this twist in the story. If Kitana became evil again, all of the deeds she had done in the past would be in vain.

I think Kitana is going to change Mileena's allegiance to Baraka into serving Edenia. The fight between Baraka and Mileena will be the result of that action. I think it would be pointless if Kitana had strived this long to free her realm only to revert back to her evil ways while she was an assasin.

I agree, i dont want her to turn evil. Shes my favorite character and hopefully she will be unlockable some how.

I hope she is just imprisoned, how ironic would it be that now that Sindel is finally good again Kitana is now evil.

Oh, I just had a thought. What if, in Konquest mode, one of the places you can visit in Edenia is the Dragon King's holding chamber. That way you might be able to see some of the imprisoned characters and free them from their cells, including, Kitana, Jerrak(I forgot hwo to spell his name), or maybe even Rain. Remember, Boon said at E3 that although there are 24 character slots visible on the screen, you will be able to expand it by unlocking more nad more characters.

I reckon Kitana is under the Dragon Kings control, a spell of somekind, and she is also imprisoned being used a bait to lure fighters like Sindel and then Kill them. Maybe she will be a sub boss?? Lol That would be great.

Kitana the sub boss I think I have a better chance at seeing god be4 we see Kitana a sub boss lol. If any character that gone evils the sub boss it will be Lui. So anyhow back to the question can dead or will die be a option?? Anyone anyone lol. I kinda think this might happen the DK kills her be4 he dies or something like that or Lui eats her brains being that he's zombie and all lol. Or Dk and Lui both eating her

It seems not to make sense for Kitana to be evil with Mileena in the game. That opens up the possibility of a once-and-for-all showdown in Mileena's ending (or Kitana's, if she is indeed an unlockable character). I like the imprisonment idea better.

I think Kitana will either be the sub boss (since they said that the sub boss will be one of the "hottest" characters in MK - which I'm figuring means a girl for once) or she'll be on the Prison Stage like Jade and will be unlockable!

She's being held captive, though an evil Kitana doesn't sound too bad to me. Her storyline is rather stale and I think that she could use a nice evolution in her storyline.

i think the being held against her will is a bit boring, turning evil (for one game only) would be kinda kewl, even if it was under the control of the dk, so when he ides she is good again. otherwise, i dunno i was trying to think what would be so bad that baraka and mileena are fighting with each other. and the only thing i could think of is:

while kitana is being held, she is either turned evil or killed without mileena knowing.

mileena always being the one who wanted to kill her sister. so if i was mileena i would be pi**ed of!! and especially if the one person you trusted i.e baraka killed her.

I agree with most of you and think she just will be imprisoned. She has a past as an assassin but it was never her choice, she was raised that way by Shao Kahn and did just follow orders until she had a change to get out of there. But if she’s under the Dragon King’s control then I guess she has no choice again and doesn’t control her own actions.

And being evil does not mean that she has allied with Mileena. They are and always will be the greatest enemies. Sindel and Jade are on a quest to save her from the Dragon King’s control so she probable would be her normal self again after MKD (should they succeed).

I just think this would be interesting for a change but in the end I don’t want her evil either.

My theory about Li Mei is that yes, her MKDA ending did happen, but when the Deadly Alliance got their asses kicked, the soul transplant process got reversed, and her soul went back into her original body, but her soul was likely tainted with evil from the Deadly Alliance's soul transfer process in reviving the Dragon King's undefeatable army. Then, once the Dragon King returned, Li Mei started working for the Dragon King. The same thing, or something similar, could've also happened to Kitana.

I also seem to think a Mother/Daughter rivalry between Sindel and Kitana existed even during Kitana's pre-emptive strike against Shao Kahn, kinda starting out as Sindel disagreeing with Kitana's pre-emptive strike, then turning into disownment and shit like that. I think the reason for Sindel's participation in this war against the Dragon King is kinda because Sindel realized that she took her own flesh and blood for granted.

Let's not forget that Kitana saved Sindel from Shao Kahn's control in MK3. That means SINDEL OWES KITANA BIG TIME! And now's Sindel's opportunity to return the favor!

Thanks Sindel_Fan. That is a nice theory about Li Mei Bloodline666. I’m almost sure that Li Mei will be evil but if Kitana is captured they could have done something similar with her. Maybe the Dragon King would want her to stand against Sindel.

It’s not that being evil is that big deal but the things she does when she is evil that can make a difference for her future storyline. What if she would kill her mother Sindel while she is evil (sorry Sindel fans). If she is normal again after the Dragon King’s defeat she has to deal with the facts that she has killed her own mother who was trying to save her.

Earth warriors will not except her anymore for what she has done and she will then end up as a rogue princess. Meanwhile with Kitana on the run and Sindel out of the picture Mileena will still keep the throne of Edenia. This could mess things up pretty good.
