I don't know why they'd bring Li Mei back, unless one of the Midway boys has a fetish for her. She was a cheap rip-off of Mileena - Sais and colors and everything. It's like they wanted to do Mileena, but at the last minute couldn't figure out how, so they just renamed her Li Mei. Li Mei was such a throwaway that they sure as HELL better not drop KITANA of ALL people for such a boring broad. KITANA = IN.

Maybe li mei was in at first glance, but they (Boon and co) thought it would be better to have either Mileena or Sindel replace her.

This could have happend after they took the pictures. (maybe proto pictures)

Then they changed some textures and retooled the polygons.

Hey, Frost's moves are different then Sub-Zero's. The only reason she's a rip-off is because she is a female Lin Kuei memeber who also uses ice.

Li Mei is a rip-off of Mileena (yes that's purple, not pink) Sure she doesn't have the same moves, But like i said, Neither did Frost but she's still a rip-off of Sub-Zero. Li Mei wore purple and used Sais. Not to mention that if you switch "Li" and "Mei" you get "Mei Li" then just add "Na" and you get "Mei Li Na = Mileena". Get it?

And what about Konqrr? I personally don't know anything about the guy.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, there were three rip-offs in MK history...the third being:
Jarek...Kano!

Glad to hear so many people here can tell that Li Mei's not a Mileena rip-off.
Shinnok's a rip-off of as well; impersonations or morphs, either way, he's like Shang Tsung.
As for they debate, the girl in the picture looks like Li Mei in her alternate MK:DA outfit.
