I agree I think Kitana leaves an impression on you, ever since playing MK2 back in the day. She is probably the most memorable for me, I don't know why, but MK2 for me seemed more dark than the MK of today. The whole hitting someone into a pool of acid or performing a fatality, it doesnt have the same effect anymore than when I was a kid, probably cos Im older now.
But Tanya is my favourite character since Deception came along. She IMO is the best female character in MK I just hope she carries on to MK7. Theres something about nasty evil psychotic bitches that I like.

I totally agree. She's always been my favourite character. Her story is by far the most interesting and compelling for me. MK:D is a great game, but it would have been a lot better with Kitana. With the huge amount of fans wondering where she was, she's sure to be in MK7.

I think it's unfair to complain that Kitana was not in Deception. She and other classic characters such as Sonya, Jax, Johnny Cage, Shang Tsung, and others got their turn in Deadly Alliance, so they were chosen to sit out this game.

Yes. kitana is the best female character but unlike Liu Kang , Sub Zero and Scorpion, she doesn't have that much impact over those 3. Even though i like playing with her, it didn't really affect me when i knew she wasn't on MKD but I cired like hell when scorpion did not appear in MK3 ( we had to wait until UMK3 comes out.). Also, from what i've heard, many people were complaining why Liu kang got killed and maybe that's why he's back.

I fell in love with Kitana in MKII, and I think that version of her, as an assassin with her "twin", will probably remain the version of her I liked the best. I loved Sub-Zero at the time, and Kitana as well, so I sorta developed a bizarre urge to see the two hook up. After Liu got axed (not that they were ever "officially" together), I thought he had a chance, but Onaga beat them all to the goods (lucky bastard with his harem of hypnotized hotties...), and it looks like Liu (like him or hate him) is back. I still have always enjoyed her story, but I think she should be more a rebel. Li Mei stole her thunder, I think, and took her place in MK:D as my prefered female fighter. Fatality.

haha I had that bizarre urge with kitana and liu getting together...i didnt like kitana's ending in eeh DA where she not only lost Goro as a friend but also makes clear that she misses lui...I hope they'll end up together in the end
But back on topic...Kitana has always been my favourite and always will be...neither tanya or li mei or sonya can defeat/replace her..and not even jade can...I also feel like there's something missing in deception and thats def. kitana...she has something over her that I cant name..but its there...

I agree completely. Kitana is the whole reason I ever played MK, I didn't buy deception because she was not in it.

I've always loved Kitana. It's true that her début in MKII made the serie go so much further.
However, even if the looks, the skills, the weapon are among the best of th serie, I think that in MKDA she was SOOOO hard to use that it made her one of the character I used the less. Not to mention her fatality.... not really well done.
Anyways, I hope to see her back soon, and this time, easyer to controle.

Kitana is my favorite of all the mortal kombat characters. Her story, looks, and fighting abilities are top notch. I was very disappointed that Kitana wasn't included in Deception, but the game has so many other features that I purchased it anyway. I am undefeatable whenever I play as Kitana(MKII, MKT, MKDA), but I am pretty good with Sub-Zero and Sindel in Deception. I wish Mileena and Kitana would have one last fight to prove which one is truly the best.

I don't know about ya'll but I'm just about sick and tired of Scorpion and Sub-Zero. They've been in like every damn MK game ever created. I mean they are good characters with alright plot lines, but they're getting old and tired. It seems like every new MK game that comes out, the very first screens are of those two. They are getting so old now that it's just disappointing. And as for the comment about Kitana and the others have to sit this game out, that hardly seems fair because DA was supposed to be the game Deception is now and we all know it wasn't. The only reason people still play DA is because of characters like Kitana and Jax and Sonya. No question about it though, Kitana was and is still the best female character that the MK team, past, present, and future, ever came up with. Her plot is every MK game was great and she is a kick ass fighter, that all the other female characters are modeled after. She is a trendsetter and is just the best. Plus, her steel fans are the best and most original weapons ever made for a character. END OF THAT!

IMO, best story, one of the deepest characters, always good to use, and best looking. I do miss Kitana and wish she could've made it into Deception....but there's always MK7.

Kitana lives through Sindel. They seem to swap every game or so.
I'd hate to conform, but Kitana is my favorite, as well. In fact, I think she was the first female character I liked playing as. I think it was her fatality in MK2 that, being a 7 year old, just clicked something on in my brain.
On a side note, I always had a weird obsession with killing Sonya every possible way in MK1 and 3. Eh... so, yeah.

Kitana is the reason for me playing MK. Shes one of the greatest characters in MK. Im eager to see her return in a next MK.

Does anyone know what her fatality means and how it works? The whole blowing someone up with a kiss? How does she do it? Its a game but it seems wierd.

I love Kitana too.
I remember playing MK2 and not really using her. i used Sub Zeor and Kung Lao mostly. but then on random I picked Kitana and she was bloody amazing. She had great combos, great moves and kicked major ass.
Sh has always been the best female in the series. She even beats Sonya in my opinion. I was mightily pissed when she never made it to MK3, and even more mightily pissed when she never made it into MK4 and that moo tanya was put in in her place. And I never got to play MKGold.
Kitana was also great in Deadly Alliance. Her Steel fans style was the best style of the whole game, closely followed by Sonyas Kali Sticks. Eagle claw was fast an brutal, and Ba gua could come in handy, but was her weakness. he ending was a bit crappy tho.
Kitana is important for the storyline. She is now involved heavily with most of the main groups in Mk. She is Princess of Edenia, Ally of earthrealm, Ally of the Shokan and is still trusted among many Outworlders.
She is key in the story line, theres no denying that, whether u liker her or not.
Deception for me lack something with Kitana missing. I dunno what. It jsut doesnt feel right somehow. The fact she was not the only one to be slain by the Deadly Alliance and made serve Onaga is a lot better than it being only one character who is killed and brought back, and will provide very good storylines in the future.
And Danadbabs tatoo is great. it look awsome. And yeah, Dan probably is Kitanas number 1 fan, but id say i was close up behind u there Danny boi!!
