Personally, I just don't see a real way to turn her story around... I mean, she's done her part in the story overall and she should probably just be retired as a fighting character. She could still be in the overall storyline though, maybe have her in a "Raiden-like" position for new fighters from Edenia. Like, have her be an observer/mentor/teacher for the next generation. I mean, it's the only real way to keep her in the storyline without her just becoming even more boring than she is now.

I agree with you when you say that her storyline is dying, but I'm not sure how her storyline can evolve much further. Since Liu Kang's and Goro's deaths meant a lot to her, it could have a huge emotional effect on her. Perhaps she might find comfort in another such as Kung Lao or Rain (if he's still alive). But of course, there should be more to her storyline than just that......in which I might have some strange ideas about...

Kitana's storyline is dying? What? I think Kitana has a pretty damn strong storyline in MKDA, plus I think MKGold really expanded her character by showing so much more depth to her. She's a diplomat, she's a general, she's a peacemaker; I think she still has a lot of potential, because she's shown how easily she can get involved in other characters' stories. Her Konquest in MKDA reveals a friendship with Kung Lao, as well as an enmity with Quan Chi. She was also shown to be a strong adversary of Kano and Reptile; and being that Reptile will most likely become the Dragon King, if he retains his own memories and personality he can seek vengeance on Kitana, as well as Nitara, Kano and Quan Chi (if the latter two are still alive) for their involvement in the death of Shao Kahn. IMO, Kitana's storyline has a huge amount of potential.

The only thing I can think of, that made Kitana MORE interesting then what she is, and even cooler...is one word:

Mileena.

I think Mileena should be dead like in Kitana's MKG ending and Baraka could be in MK6 to avenge Mileena's death by trying to kill Kitana.
