Well, actually if you want to be technical about it, Kobra is actually the love child of Ken (SF), Jin Kazama (Tekken), Goh (VF), Johnny Cage, Sonya, and Jae Hoon (Mark of the Wolves) due to his flame specials.

When I saw his pic in the select screen I instantly thought of Sonya.

I admit I didnt like him before, he was my least favorite of all the characters, but after they changed "ben" to "kobra", I thought he was cool.

Right now, I think he is just Ok. I hope he is no waste nor a rip-off. So far, he looks cool.

I really hope he has a good story.

Kobra looks badass to fight with. Although I like Johnny Cage better right now, and I probably still will like him better even when I use Kobra, he still looks cool.

Johnny Cage is the most annoying character in the history of videogames.

I understand that his original digital image was purported to be Jean-Claude Van Damme, but that the Belgy didn't want to bone up for the game & gave Boon & Tobias a big "Fuck you". It offended the MK team so much they decided to not make Johnny Cage the hero but rather the asshat pompous movie actor who sucked at karate. The tie was the splits - nut punch move from MK1 & Bloodsport with Van Damme.

Still, even with that rampant rumorism from the Arcade days, I think Cage is really freaking obnoxious. I haven't like him since his torso rip fatality days in MK2. I think having both Cage & Boraicho is a disaster in the form of two wasted character select spots, so...

I hope they keep Kobra distant from Cage & Sonya.

lol, I remember those times. Bloodsport was probably his only good movie. He just repeated the same jump kicks in almost the rest of his movies.
Imo, Kobra seams to be a replacement of Cage, I mean in no related terms, but more of a serious fighter.

Kobra looks good, Johnny Cage is stupid..NEVER liked him, just his 'punch your balls' move. Johnny Cage should of never returned, people kept wanting him back cus they thought he would get better, but he never did. So I think Boon should make the decision and finally end Johhny Cage, he was never really relevant to the MK world anyway. Keep Kobra, keep Sonya, end Johhny Cage and make JAX like he was in MK 2 or 3.

Haha, well Cage and Sonya's rumored relationship seems to have caught the notice of the MK team, as evidenced by Cage's MKDA ending. They have been known to take our rumors and make them canon, so who knows?

i think the reason kobra looks like sonya is because sonya had a twin brother named daniel blade who is deceased but maybe they brought him back for this game, if you dont believe me look at sonyas profile in the mk1 comic book and look under known relatives, it says she has a twin brother named daniel blade, and next to it it says deceased, and maybe kobra is daniel, the comic book is unlockable in mk:da
