Kobra's like around mid. I think it's his overall lack of mids in Kickboxing contributes to this. Luckily some of his Machete and special moves hit mid, and are kinda safe. On a defensive game, I think Kobra plays pretty well.

no kobra is 100% low just like shang tsung......

but if used wisly hes ok (just like shang tsung)

people say the same thing about shang "oh he sucks" well comparing to other characters yes he does suck but since i use shang at a high level and u use kobra at a high level it confuses people. it turns from a "kobra sucks" to a "kobra is ok" if used correctly.

i mean look at my shang hes a low tier but since i use him at the highest level im like 6-1 in a shang vs drahmin match (btw thanks for the 1 BONE!!!)

so there you go..plus this also refers to bones fact that its the PLAYER not the CHARACTER

If he had Shorin Ryu then he'd be better off instead of crappy Kickboxing. I'm not sure if his Machete is better than Kali Sticks, but then again those Kali Sticks rightfully belong to Sonya.

I love Shorin Ryu on Cage, Cage would have probably suck hardcore with Kick boxing.

Kobra is fine, definitely mid tier.

-_- think about it, kobra is like kai if it wasnt for his weapon he would'nt have any mids but since his weapon is ok i guess that'll make him like high low or mid low

Kobra is mid tier. a good all around character.

he can hit his foe from long distances w/ the teleport, flaming fist.

the low fireball and fire kick move give him decent 50/50 no matter what stance hes in. the lows in His 1st stance are all very good. b+3,b+4, d+4.
i love using his 1. 1+up4 is nice pretty safe and if it hits you can deep kick over for a free throw (most of the time). they both still hit High mid making it hard to duck the hits.

Kobra is all about keeping a decent amount of distance and using his speed to attack.

Im w/ you Riu people are silly saying he sucks. i can use him better then i can use Scorpion.

its the player not the character.

he fits my style of play.

He still has the best projectile (maybe) in the game, i remember people yelling OMG it's like fighting Sagat! hahaha

I agree with what most of you are saying tho... mid tier mostly because of kickboxing. Machete b1 is nice bait/mid/jugg. Mix db1 with 3422 and you'll give many people problems. I wish i knew how safe db4 actually is when i was playing.

14, cs, 3422, cs, 22b2 is probably his best combo online

db4 is worthless, doesnt even work off parrys, good for anti air i guess, but slow. if you land the first half of the air to ground combo, then it can be used as the second popup/half of the combo.

1 is good i guess

Everything in kickboxing either hits high or low, it has no mids. Still, d+1 and b+3,3 are great.

2,2 and u+4 in Machete are cool too.

machete3,4,2,2 and u4 are priceless with kobra, the low fireball is great for turtling.......ive actually spent some time on him.

Kobra is Low Tier.

There isnt a Kobra that can even compete with me.

Then again it is the Character not the Player.

Still,His 3,4,2,2 can be Parried in between every hit and its VERY unsafe. His b+1 is VERY unsafe. His only priority is his Fireball.

Actually no. I've had some good comp that past few days. SENESE obviously. MORTAL25, LastNiteMistake, DERRTY (even though he's a crybaby), etc.

Under what criteria is Machete b+1 even remotely unsafe? It recovers like almost instantly and it pushes back on block.

Does it do the same for Ashrah?
