It looks like they are doing Konquest again in this game, which could be good or bad, depending on how they do it. I really like the idea of playing as different characters per level, as Ed Boon confirmed. That allows us not only to learn every characters moves, it also makes it very easy to advance the story. Yes, i think that Konquest mode should be the main story mode that explains everything, like MKD and MKA did, but it should still be very different then the other 2. I think playing in a 3d world would be fun again, but make it more like Deception where instead of just fighting characters you meet, you learn their move set and train with them. I hated the MKA konquest mode, because all you did was fight, never learned. The only things you learned was the controls, moves and combos of the 3d game itself, and that happens only rarely when you touch the oblesik. And it basically only happens in the beginning, after that its just challanges. So screw what i just said. But Deception, thats a better direction to go in, actually learning how to play in the beginning, and then learning all the characters moves and combos. Well not all of them, but after you beat it, you could go around looking for more characters to train as throuought the realms as well as look for all the chests. That was fun, and way more fun then MKA konquest. You see, the MKA konquest is only fun to play once, but MKD, after beating it, you can look around, and look for all the treasures and hidden character appearances which will keep you occupied. MKDA was not really a konquest game, it was more of a learning every characters moves and combos, like a...tutorial. So i can't say its worse or better then the other 2 konquests, because its totally different. But back to this games konquest, i hope they really get it right this time and here are some suggestions that i think will make it awesome.
-Have the character explore the opposite world
On the DC side, make most of the enemies MK characters and make the final boss a MK boss, as well as letting the character your playing as explore more of the MK world then the DC world and vice versa.
-Keep 3D fighting as LIMITED as possible
If we wanted to play Shaolin Monks, we would pop that sucka into the PS3/XBOX 360. We want to play Mortal Kombat so let us bump into someone and then fight them, like in Deception.
-Let us learn each characters move
Since you change characters every level, we should learn all there moves and combos like in the MKDA/MKD konquest mode first. Then let us play.
-Keep the hidden stuff
Not only should they keep the hidden chest and cameo appearances of other characters(Like in MKD), they should expand it, like in MK2, you solve some sort of puzzle, then you fight a hidden character.
-Put effort in the cut scenes.
Seriously, please make the cut scene animation better. In MKD and MKA, they always have the same facial expression. Put more effort in the animations. Ninja Gaiden, that game and breathtaking cut scenes, try something like that. And also, we wouldn't mind long fighting cut scenes every now and then
well thats all I can think of, if you have any other suggestions, go ahead and add them.

I dont think their is gonna be a Konquest mode I think its gonna be like the normal Arcade mode but with cut scenes in between the fights and as you go along you change characters as you run into them like for example as boon said you start with scorpion you run into Sub and continue with sub. Personally I would like a free mode but with SM mechanics whitch is the only game that plays well in the last few games and is the game a MK fan can be proud of.

if thats true, then arcade mode will suck.
for arcade mode i just want it to be like classic mortal kombat, you choose your character, choose a tower, beat your way to top, and see the ending. and it should be cg. and it should save them.

I agree it should be in Cg but the tower thing is getting old we need something knew and also what do mean by saving them????

i mean that after you beat arcade mode and watch the ending movie, it gets saved in an EXTRA menu or something so you can view the ending any time.

Oh well if they didnt do it would be really dumb I mean just think about it you would have to finish the game again to see the ending again, lol.

I think it's should be like a combination of MK:D and MK:DA konquest mode. I don't think there is going to be 3D fighting a la Armageddon....

I highly doubt that they'll even put a Konquest in this game, seeing how it's a crossover, I really cannot picutre seeing one. I've tried, really I've tried to picture what they would put in for the Konquest thing, but honestly, I cannot see how it's going to work seeing how this is a crossover.
Yeah, maybe it will tell how the two universes combined, but still, I'm pretty sure the intro will give the big giveaway and the character's bios and endings will tell too, not Konquest.

Here's my idea. The Konquest mode should never be included in a main MK game ever again. I want the developers to actually concentrate on the fighting game aspect and not get distracted by little gimmicks.
If anything, Konquest should be a separate game like Shaolin Monks. If possible done by the same people that made Shaolin Monks. Then it might actually be good.
