In an interview with Boon he is talking about the game modes and says that besides the konquest mode there are some other modes that have nothing to do with the actual story or fighting. For example he mentions puzzle and Chess (which we already knew) but he also mentions Adventure mode. So I guess there still is another interesting mode what we havent seen or heard anything of yet.
im not sure what interview you are talking about, but in the gamespot e3 interview video he says that the konquest mode combines elements of rpg games and adventure games.. and we've seen the select screen, theres Kombat, Chess Kombat, Puzzle Kombat, Konquest & MK Online, thats it
