Why does it have to be a black-and-white issue? I kinda liked it, it looked cool and it fit Subby. But I didn't love it, because it had few combos.

I think its awesome and yeah it does fit him perfect the only problem is that the moves arn't that good with it other than that it looks cool and it matched Subby

Didn't have a whole lot of imagination. It was ok, but I think he could've had something a lot more badass(for lack of better words) and something that fit his character as well. Perhaps if he had his fists/arms incased in a harder ice or throwing icicles or something =P

Sub-Zero's Kori Blade is a blade entirely made of ice.
Let's not forget that he possesses the Dragon Medallion, and he can make the ice as thick or as hard as he wants, to a level that maybe not even nature can access. That added to what he already knows about ice.

I don't like it. It's slow, has little useful combos and looks like it belongs more in He-man than in Mortal Kombat. Unfortunately, unless they change it before the release, Subz had it back in the gameplay trailers for Deception.
I always liked the "ice weapon" theme, although the Kori blade could be improved in my opinion.
Honestly, I always thought that it should look somewhat like a chinese streight sword made of ice, Green Destiny style. That way it would theoretically fit in with the more classical Chinese theme of his clan (and more assasin like), while still mantaining a modern look.

The funny thing is, no single member of the Lin Kuei whose face we've seen is Asian. :)

ok the weapon itself looked cool though I thought it was too bulky and slow for a ninja IMO. I agree that gameplay wise it was one of the worst weapons in the game and the only reason I ever took it out was to impale someone. I hope they at least upgrade how he fights with it otherwise it'll just end up nnot being used by me and several other MK gamers whom I know.
Oh BTW depending on the temperature ice can reach a hardness that makes it incredibly difficult to break and if the medallion truly does increase Sub-Zero's freezing power exponentially then he could lower the temperature of that blade to well near 0 Kelvin (the lowest temperature possible where every last molecule stops). Hmm... it would be interesting if they utilized that idea in a move somehow, maybe a weapon fatality or something.

To anyone who cares, I'm not banned. I left of my own accord. This place is dead to me now.

What I don't understand is why didn't the Kori Blade style have a freezing move like Sub-Z's ice wand in MK4. Other than that I agree with most of you. Too bad Sub-Z couldn't reform his Kori Blade infinitely and keep on impaling his opponent. Imagine someone staggering around with 8, 9, 10 ice swords stuck through his body
.
Sub Zero is and always will be my favorite character in MK but he wasn't that good in Deadly Alliance mainly because all his styles sucked in my opinion but I still used him for some reason and got pretty good with him,but I NEVER used his Kori blade because it didn't even have any combos which really pissed me off.
The only time i would use the Kori Blade was to stab the opponent with otherwise i just fought with my hands.
I wish he could get a new weapon like an ice staff that I suggested on another thread.I really don't like the Kori blade, but I hope that the Dev team really gives it a major upgrade from what it was in DA.

Say, that's a good point. Sub doesn't have the Kori blade hidden on him somewhere, he makes it out of water vapor in the air. But it wouldn't really be fair gameply-wise if he could make an unlimited amount.
