If KAK was in MK8 it would take away alot of the dark feel that Ed and the team are trying to incorporate into this game.
that being said
I didn't hate KAK but would hate to see it in MK8.
Armageddon was like a MK sand box game everything seemed wacky and KAK belonged there, but not in a serious new MK game

Ever since MKDA i've wanted a KAK. I didn't get to mess around with it in MKA cause i only rented it as i didn't like the game at all (sorry.) But there is no reason it can't be serious. It's just an extra feature, there is nothing wrong with that. It gives the game more playablility. So i vote yes.
Kreate-A-Kharacter is a tabula rasa for any player. If someone wanted to make a quirky, goofy colorful cartoon character they can. Or, if they wanted, they could create a dark, serious, deadly addition to the cast.
Ultimately, that sort of flexibility and creativity is not only appreciated in this day and age of oversaturated fighting games but almost vital in order to stand as unique and immersive.
Honestly, I found it to be very cool creating my own characters in KAK. I usually opted for more serious characters, such as my own Elder Gods, ninjas, and monsters. I treated it seriously, took the time to make a character that blended into the main cast, chose my moves, and even created a rather long, in-depth biography for them.
That's the sort of feature I do hope makes a return in MK8, simply because it was such an incredible outlet for fans to tamper with and experiment with. I fondly recall "Kreate-A-Kharacter" competitions being held here for the most original and interest designs and stories. It really felt like you, the player, were contributing to the game, and that the character you created, unlike Scorpion and Sub-Zero, was yours and yours alone.
Was KAK perfect? Hardly. It had some seriously flaws. The created characters were often vastly overpowered, prone to infinites, and the natural limitations of the KAK options meant that there were just some designs you wanted to do but couldn't while an excess of superficial add ons (how many thongs does the female character need availabe?) sort of took away from the experience.
But that's where time and experience comes in. I can't see why a refined version of the KAK system can't be included, with more plentiful and detailed outfits and options, better game balance testing, and other personalized touches to immerse the player and stimulate creative minds.

KAK should stay in, but it should have a major overhaul.
