Kung Lao

I'm sorry if this has been answered already, but I can't get the damn search function to work, so yeah. But can anybody please tell me what Kung Lao's story is this go-round? From what I understand, he's not playable or anything, but I'm just curious as to why? He seemed to be a fairly high-card fighter in the DA, and I don't understand why he's not around this time. Like I said, I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but I just wanna know. Thanks!

Nobody knows anything about Kung Lao.
I hope he's still alive though, I like his look, styles and moves in MK:DA. Howevern I'm afraid he's been replaced by Shujinko.
I guess we'll find out soon (MK:D is nearly there smile)

Well, thanks anyways, man. I was just curious, I had fun playin as him, loved the hat throw & whirlwind kick, and I loved his fatality. *shrugs* Oh well.

With Onaga rumoured to be creating bodyguards out of deceased warriors, it seems we could see a resurrected Kung Lao fighting for The Dragon King downt he line.
Nothing is confirmed, though.

I think Kung Lao is in the Dark Prison with Johnny Cage, Jax, and Sonya. The Dragon King probably imprisoned them with all of the dead warriors. Kung Lao, Sonya, Johnny Cage, and Jax would be some of the only warriors who are alive in the Netherealm while the other warriors are living their eternal life.

I really dont care much about Kung lao.
I always liked him more then Liu kang, and I still think he is cool, but I dont like how his storyline is going.
He IS becoming too much like Liu Kang IMO, No1 reason why I dont want him to be the next champ.

I think Kung Lao may return next game. It would be nice if he was a big part of what happens at the end of an MK game. We shall see in the future about him.

Haha, it's always the shaolin...
1) the original kung lao was a shaolin, good fighter, but he got killed anyway.
2)Liu Kang=shaolin, very good fighter, killed anyway
3) Kung Lao=Shaolin, liu kang's sidekick, got killed anyway
4) Shujinko=Shaolin, great fighter from the looks of it. He'll get killed to

I will be so relieved if Kung Lao turns out to be an unlockable in MKD. He has always been one of my favorites and he has a lot of potential. Let's just hope he'll return for MK7.

Bullshit. Kung Lao is not Dead. He will be one of these "super" unlockables and will come to reap helll upon the dragon king's pussy ass. can't wait to hat slice bo rai cho in half. Kung lao was the only thing that really made Deadly alliance playable for me and that was only after i unlocked his alt costume. So please god let him be in!

....yeah..... he might be dead, don't rule it out, but I'm hoping that all the warriors we saw in the intro vid are alive. (Save Kitana, of course, who we all know died.) Here's hoping Kung Lao, Sonya, Johnny Cage, Jax, and anyone else I missed are still alive and kicking.

Most of us here have seen the intro movie.You can't find it anymore unless someone is willing to send you it.Also,Kung Lao is sitting this one out,so deal with it.If he's dead I dunno,but he's out of this one.Kitana died ad was ressurected by Onaga to serve him,for those that didn't know.

I'd post the website but it is against the damn regulations...like geez...anyone who cares more about a spoiler than actually seeing the intro is a omplete loser. I'd rather see the intro early so that the game would be that much sweeter when I got it, so I did just that.

well i only have to wait till monday to see the intro vid so i guess i could wait but i'm not gonna dwell on kitana's death and ressurection to evil since people die and then come back in mortal kombat all the time(goro and kage and most recently liu kang)but if she stays dead she could be like scorpion and come back to reap hell on all who she feels deserves it
