you need to add everyone from the "gamertags" thread on MKC to your friends list... playing anyone other than those guys is usually a waste of time, and you will usually find someone to play within a short time if you've got em.

SC 4 is alright...it's nothing "that great" IMO, Apprentice and Yoda are both broken, Yoda you can't throw and it's difficult to hit him with certain highs, mids and lows since he's so damn small lol but he's not "overpowerful"

Apprentice is super broken, way too overpowerful and has ridiculous damage combos, force combos are crazy....

A lot of SC4 players feel this way or fighter fans in general but some people will defend the both of them, apprentice is broken though despite if anyone says otherwise. Once you play the game you'll see what I mean.

My friend has the game, we played it for hours last weekend.

It's better then SC3(since that game sucked and was disappointing) but at the same time SC4 isn't nearly as good as SC and SC2.

My opinion on the game.

The Kreate a kharacter system is alright, I like MKA's and some wrestling games more but it's not bad.

Haha, Yoda and Apprentice are hardly broken. I can think of other fighters that will stomp them into the ground. Yoda cant be grabbed but thats the only advantage I see with him. Horizontal mid attacks bash his flipping. Also I dont see any advantages with apprentice. His force attacks can be side stepped.

I own the game Trax, it's a pleasant change from broken ass MK. I'd say at least give it a try (rent it or something). Dont listen to all of us on the boards. Especially those who don't even own the game. Judge it for yourself. If you want some games, hit me up bro.

So yeah...Actually, they are. Yoda is "unbalanced" but not "too powerful" from a power point of view. He's unbalanced because of the following reasons.

Again, you can't throw him(like everyone else) nor hit him with certain hits which makes it very difficult to fight him using certain people.

Apprentice, is broken flat out......anyone that knows anything about fighting games knows this. It's like saying Bo or Dai in MKD aren't broken, ha, ha, ha...yeah right. He has moves that nobody else has, unblockable moves(and can only be sidestepped) such as force lightning, insane force juggles for easy ridiculous damage. He's broken. LOL, a broken game is a broken game. MKD and MKA although are broken, in that sense is no different from SC 4 because Apprentice is mega broken it's a joke. You should go search more about his insane combos. Besides, FTR ign, 1up, tv.com, gamespot forums etc there's tons of people that feel he's broken/too powerful.

Pretty much Trax you should rent it, decide for yourself but yeah I hang with my friend every weekend just about and have played it since the first weekend of release...it's alright, but at the same time if you've played a SC game then expect nothing too different. It's still the same SC engine for the most part, same shit really.

Yoda is a weakling. He does no damage and can be crushed with mids or spammed safe attacks..

Apprentice.......he's broken because he has unblockable moves? Unblockable moves are part of the game man, haha. Almost EVERY character has an unblockable. Aprentice is good, but not "mega broken." Only thing I see is that he can juggle you with force. But it's not like they have unlimited force! They HAVE to build it up by connecting attacks.

Sophitia has an unblockable combo that can rape just about half your life. With fast attacks too.

Ivy has a friggin infinite!

So comparing Yoda and Apprentice to Bo, Dai, or N/S is a total joke. Yoda and Apprentice are good but you are going by all the reviews you watch buddy. Bad idea.

I liked SC3 and if SC4 is as good then I'm in.

If you re-read my previous post, I play the game every weekend at my buds house, thus I don't need to own the game since he lives not far from me. I've played it for hours literally and I know yoda is weaker, but still unbalanced since you can't "throw or hit him easily" that's my point.


No, he's broken the apprentice because not only unblockable moves(*clears throat MKD dairou*) but the fact that he has insane juggles that do major damage more then anyone else, thus he's broken. Infinites will occur in just about every fighter so I'm not surprised to hear about newer infinites....And no I 'm not comparing Yoda to Bo, or Dairou apprentice is more accurate since he kills everyone if you're facing a "good apprentice" he'll rape just about anyone. We played online too you know

But there are more characters that can do way more dama.........(sigh). Nevermind.

Now that's a good combo, haha. I'll have to keep my eye out for that one. I also saw a guy do a 17 hit Apprentice combo but it only got about 33% or so.

Anyways, I've returned home after 8days out on the road and NOW I will start turning on my XBOX again. I'll try and get my copy of SC4 today.
