Arcade in a box is now offering fully customizable arcade style sticks in 1 or 2 player designs for the 360! It's a bit pricier than an xarcade, but you can tailor it exactly to your preferences... Choose your button layout from SF2 (straight 3x2), SoulCal (curved 3x2), or even MK's 6 button nightmare. Also pick from concave or convex buttons, 3 different sticks, and your choice of (ANY!) artwork to have printed on it.

It will set you back about $150 stock, it's wired USB, and is said to work on a PC as well.
What do yall think?

I don't know how you guys play using those sticks. I very much prefer modern controllers. And for the price of $150. That's crazy dude!

It's the fact I can't really grab it that annoys me. You have to place it on a plain platform Saleen, Malone and you are the only guys I know from here that really love sticks.

Most players I've encountered like the 6 button layout UMK3 usually.

UMK3's joysticks is one of the best to most MK players(oldschool anyway)...but I guess everyone has a different preference when it comes to configuration in general.

I've always enjoyed the MK and SF layouts, other games not too fond on personally.

This also might help you out, these guys are the real deal and have serious skill with making joysticks:

Check out these two threads, the info in them is good they should help you out:

One has links to professionally made ones, the other is someone that makes sticks very well and worth it according to people on there:

Just a wee bit inpatient are we???

Yea i've seen em and for a hobbyist they're nice. No offense to mr poop but they look pretty ghetto IMO. And a stick with lag, as mentioned, is not worth $.01 sorry...

As an X-Arcade user, here's the adapter that I use which works perfectly fine but I can't use my mic since it requires the PS2 X-Arcade adapter. Unfortunately, it's $80 which is a huge downfall for some but definitely worth it for me.

XFPS 360

By the way, that Arcade in a Box stick is a piece of crap. How the hell do you manage to produce an arcade stick that carries $150 price tag that lags???? I tried to convince them to accept mine back but to no avail. Now it's just sitting here collecting dust. Oh well....

Well, that one you're referring to is one of the threads made by Poop but the other one is from an actual site with professionally made sticks, expensive but nice.

Hmm interesting, I like the Sheeva and Fujin art on the platform. Two characters I love usinggrin

But what's with that extra button on top? Is that for MK:D and MKA I take it?

And also, do you stand up all the time or sit down? It looks like you have to stand up. I guess most people do when they're using a stick.

Looks expensive

throw button.

hp = 1
lp =2
blk = blk
hk = 3
lk = 4
run = cs
throw = throw

its not expensive, well i guess if u were to buy it it might be, cause built into the insdie is xbox. well i should say the internals of xbox, motherboards, fan, dvd drive,etc.

yes i stand up, u can play sitting down, least i cant and its to big for a lap, it the exact dimensions of the overlay for a mk machine.

So, let me guess it took you I'll say 10 hours- week to build that?

I know one dude on the other site said I think he spent a day or 5 hours or something on one of his sticks.

Also, my friend told me recently that there's a VF 5 stick that can be configured to SF, MK, and DOA but I have no idea which ones he's talking about.

He plays VF and knows I play MK so he told me this.

Personally, the older MK's I could use a stick if I had to but prefer not too, newer MK's no way in hell I'll be able to adapt to a joystick. The run and throw buttons would take getting used to for me.
