I think deceptions gonna be a great game and that would frickin be awsome if reptile came back as the reptile from mk1 except his ice would be acid and nor freeze just burn the other guy..but not with scorps spear tho..I know alot of people are gettin sick of all the ninjas but i like em..i really wish they wouldnt have changed reptile into that ugly half lizard half man thing..and then that ugly Giant lizard thing in MKDA..I think they should have kept the ninja and made the giant lizard an alt costume

Since he is the DK now, the MK1 Reptile could be a hidden character in Deception. I would like to see him used w/ the MK1 moves. If not soon, then in MKT2 (if there is one!) -Plus The Pit from MK1 could once again be his stage - how sick would it look on the ps2/xbox!

I dont want to see Reptile again in his ninja outfit, because it just dont fit in the story.

Well, I think the idea of having reptile return as a ninja with Sub and Scorp's moves is probably the most detrimental thing they can do to any of the three forementioned characters. Not to mention, it would demolish my view of Reptile.

Hey if you really want to play as Reptile and you have a game genie and the snes version here is the code to play as him 656A-47AF. You need to start a 1 player game and then hit start on the 2nd controller, the 2nd player will take control of Reptile, note, pick scorpion and subzero, picking any other character will have a glitchy reptile. Moves and Fatality are the same.

There are times when I think that, were it up to the fans, the MK games would be composed of nothing but ninjas of every color of the rainbow. Liu Kang would be a ninja. Goro would be wearing a mask. Johnny Cage would have a red, white, and blue loincloth and black overmantle. And Jax would be completely decked out in black, save for a pair of metal arms, which would fire off metal tridents.

Hey thanks for the tip, unfortunately I only own the Sega Game Gear version of MK1 , but I will copy down your message though and if I get a chance I'll try it out in the future. Hopefully though someone w/ a snes version of MK1 and the game genie will now be able to use Reptile in his BEST INCARNATION!

Personally I like the ninja's, but I would be more than content to never see Rain, Ermac, Noob, Human Smoke, Tanya, Reiko, Frost and Co. again.

But the MK1 Reptile has the signature moves of Sub and Scorpion. That's why the ninja debate is so big, because of past pallette swap.

And you're right, I hate the pallette swapping too. It's just that I personally loved Reptile as a hidden character in MK1 - I've always liked Sub Zero and Scorpion and since Reptile had the moves of BOTH, I liked him even more than them.

Now, who wants to see Mortal Kombat 1 Reptile as a hidden character in the future?!!!?

I say he was cool in MK1 (Mottob fo eht tip!), but if they put him in the game with just Sub and Scorp's moves, then what would be the point? I say if they bring back Ninja Reptile (I hope he stays lizard like), they should give him his MKII or Trilogy moves.

Well if I'm ever in charge of Midway, or get to know the person who is head of the MK division i'll remember to make a Mortal Kombat with only every single ninja (male/female/cyborg) to play as - just cus you guys love the palette swapping so much! Damn - I just thought he might be a cool playable hidden character, that's all.

I miss Reptile's ninja look, but that's about it. I don't want to see him come back with Scorpion's rope dart. Plus, this is complete bullsh*t!!! People were ragging on the Human Smoke for having Scorpion's moves, but they completely ignored that fact that Reptile and Noob Saibot were exactly the same. I want Reptile to come as a ninja with at least his mouth guard looking like it did in the first movie.(Metal with an open jaw design.)
