No, not Sub-Zero, the origanal GrandMaster. We don't know what happened to him. I would love to be able to play as him. He could have really powerful moves and steal Ermac's soul for stealing his costume.

It said in Sektor's bio that he killed the inferior Grandmaster in order to become Grandmaster himself, but then lost an intense battle to Sub-Zero, who took the Dragon Medallion. So basically, he's dead. But hey, so's Scorpion, so it's not like they can't put him in the game for the heck of it, even if he's not canon to the story.
