According to the story Li Mei is the evilest chick around,just kidding. She's bo'rai cho's partner and her allignment is good.

Nobody knows for sure really. Although her new bio states that her ally is Bo Rai Cho and that she is grateful for saving her from being forever trapped as one of the soldiers of the Dragon King's army, she did mention that she was tainted abit from being in the body of that soldier. Who knows ? after all, this game is titled Deception. Anybdy can be deceiving and conniving.

I haven't heard much about the stories behind the character, but it seems to me like it's all just set to where she's supposedly Bo Rai Cho's ally, yet the deception behind this is she's really just getting info from Bo Rai Cho to help out the Dragon King. Just by seeing the new pics of Li Mei her appearance just screams villain.

*spoilers* Her alignment is good. For this game at least she'll be with the good guys but that may change... Even though I hate the idea of her being evil.

Pfft, I'm a much bigger fan of heroes (or in your words "goody 2 shoes") than villains.
Personally, I hope she stays good. Maybe make her something akin to Ashrah wherein she tries to purge herself of the evil that tainted her, or something stupid like that.

Li Mei is siding with Bo Rai Cho, since he saved her from being Shang Tsung and Quan CHi's soldier. However, even though she fights alongside with him, she feels like she should side with the Dragon King since her soul is tainted with the dead soldier while she was there.
