I have been sticking thru it good and bad, and bad for a long time. I kinda stopped and thought about it. MKDA was bad, MKD was worse and MKA was trash. They should of never changed the fighting engine. When they did that it wasn't Mortal Kombat anymore. Or was MK knock offs.

Why do you think the old games are still fun to play and popular? They had great gameplay and it worked. After MK4 they should of enhanced the graphics even more, maybe go back using real characters just newer technology and come up with new levels and new players. But dont change they way the game plays. Look at street fighter 4, there doing that, making it 3d but still playing like before...why..b/c it works. They call it 2.5d and they should have never went to MKDA style. And if they wanted to try something new..fine...but the next year make a true 2.5d MK game. For the True MK fans.

You guys dont realize but with todays technology, they could use real characters again and use them in 2.5d and they would almost be photo perfect....They would look so real, it would almost look like a movie. This is how the real MK should have went to. Not fat cartoony looking Mk characters with an all new fighting system that is flawed and has no fun factor after about a month. With all my MK games what do I find myself playing over and over again? MK2 or MK4. Mainly MK2 on my PS3 b/c it has online play.

Your not a true MK fan unless you play MK1-MK4 atleast once a week....those are the true MK games. If your a fan of MKDA-MKA your not a freakin true MK fan, your a shit fan or your a true MK fan and your just over looking the crap and trying to stick with the franchise like me.

Well Im tired of over looking there crap. And if you think about it, there really not MK anymore. Its some new crap that is using the MK name and MK characters.

You think ed boon really wanted to do MK vs DC....lol. Yea right, you know its killing him inside. I know it and you know it to. Its killing him worse than its killing us. But the big wigs told him to do this, so its either do it or leave like John Tobias did. Do you guys get it now!!!

When this news first hit everyone freaked and was upset, and now you guys are starting to over look it and stick with the franchise still? Why so next year we will get MK vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.? What are you guys going to do then...? You still going to over look it? Still going to stick with them? Thru thick and then huh?

I say...there has to be some true MK fans out there that have grown up and went thru school and knows how to make a real MK game, so do so and sell it to Midway. they will buy it and slap there name on it...just like they did with Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks....Why do you think it was good? lol. MK-Team didn't make it. An outsider did and sold it to Midway. You guys getting it yet? The MK-Team is controlled by money hungrey whores at midway...and wont ever let them make a game we want. Its all about the money to them. Midway has almost went out of business a couple of times...last year they lost how many million dollars? There desperite.

I could go all night....The more you over look and stick with them and buy the next game, they will keep doing this to us. Just think about it...arn't you tired of buying an MK game and being sick of it after a month and find it hard to make yourself play it? Is that worth 60 bucks and worth waiting 1-3 years for? Come on people.

Not agreed on all, but most points. I'd like to see a MK thats 2.5 D. Like MK4. It's a pitty that they stopped after that, because so much more could've been done. I know most people on here don't like the idea. I guess we're too old school.

Some of my friends that play Tekken, Soul Caliber, DOA, etc. always tell me that MK needs to go back. They liked MK for what is was. It was unique in it's own way. And they are right.

But according to Boon it isn't good for the sales

Um, yes? You don't think Ed Boon likes comics? By the sounds of his interviews he was stoked to be working on the game with good people on DC's side.

Anyway dispite your logical fallacies, I agree that maybe 2.5d ala MK4 might have been a good option for future MK games. MK3's mechanics could have eventually given a pretty nice level of depth with enough tightening. Maybe they should have just stuck with the 2D model like Capcom are doing with Street Fighter. I'd be in favour of that. Although, without arcade revenue, I don't know how much of a hit that would have been with Johnny Average. Street Fighter can probably almost sustain itself on arcade revenue; MK is console exclusive now because Midway couldn't afford to keep pumping out arcade cabinets, and how well is a 2.5d console exclusive fighting game that isn't Street Fighter really going to do?

Interesting to think about though.

I think it would do pretty good, because the 3D market is already controlled by the other fighters. And let's face it...if MK vs. DC will not beat those games..it never will. MK used to compete with Street Fighter very well, because it could. It was a league on its own.

SF had his 3D tour...but they realized that it didn't make SF better. I hope Midway realizes the same thing.

And yeah in the interview with Boon he was not happy I can tell that after hearing his voice and the way he said Super Man and Bat Man

But he is very wrong if he is forced to do what is he dont like ..

i agree only on the first part when he said that only who play mk1-mk4 at least once at week can be considered a REAL mk fan.

for the rest i think MK needs to going straight to the violence,dark atmoshpere,realism,etc....they need also long working time(4-5 years) and stunning graphics....

I play the 2D games and MK4 every now and then when I am bored, but once a week? I wish that kind of free time was in my life these days. OH OH, but because I don't and I was very pleased with MKDA I'm not a "true" fan in your eyes. Well now THAT's just going to make me cry. Growing up with a game and learning it to be a classic makes it so much harder for some one to accept what's new. It's like watching Terminator 2 and Terminator 3. It's hard to beat what you grow up with. Many kids that grew up with the newer MKs will learn to love those, and probably 10 years from now, some of them will be in your shoes bitching and complaining.

You sometimes make valid points, but your immaturity took a big shit all over what you were trying to say and you sound like a rambling idiot who loves to hear himself whine and bitch. Because of that, I can't take you seriously, and I doubt the MK Team can either.

If you're so in love with the old MKs and can't stand what they're making these days, stay your ass in the past or just leave the MK community.
If you don't know how to suggest something to the MK Team in a reasonable manner, then keep your crap to yourself.

MK doesn't want to be like SF. It didn't in the beginning, and it won't today. It's different, it always has been, so get used to it.

Maybe this is why they made MKvsDC, to get rid of you lame fans who can't give a game a fucking chance before bashing it into shit... not really, but I hope you do leave for good, and others like you. You're so determined to hate everything 3D that you'll ruin any chance it has of being a good game. You're worse than me. And that is sad.

I have to agree the sound of an mk with the design of the new SF4 just makes me want to cum in my pants.

IF you think SF4 will fail your mad besides even if it does MK is going nowhere this time around because you must have forgotten its head on competition

Well.....Let me say you don't have to play those game to be a "real" fan. I played those games for hors and hours every day at the arcade and at home for months or even years untill the next game came out. Hell I almost even bought a UMK3 machine a couple of years ago. The truth is most of us dont have the consoles for those games anymore ( I still play UMK3 DLC on my 360 once in a while). MK2 is still the best IMHO and UMK3 is a close second. I liked MK4 even though most people said it was the worst MK game ever. Deception was pretty cool and so was DA but, as far a Armageddon goes you had to see it comming with the mini fighting game in shoa-lin.
I consider myself a "real" fan. I have had almost every MK game: MK1,MK2 MK3, UMK3, Triology,MK4, Mythologies, Gold, DA, Deception, Shoa-Lin, & Aragegodden(never played Special Forces), not to mention all the time I spent in the Arcade(never spent money there because my older sister was the manager and would give me tokens or put the machine on free play when I came in). I google MK news probly 3-4x's a week (just in case). I've been checking Noob.com for ever and I never lost intrest in the franchise scince MK1 and thats been a long time. That's what makes a "real" fan, not loosing intrest and sticking with them good or bad.
I don't say f!@K this game before I have even seen more than a 10sec promo vid. I was pissed but a REAL fan will get over it just as most of us have.... Why am I even bothering... see you in the Vs lobby and don't get mad when Superman kicks your a$$!

My biggest beef with capcom and especially Street fighter is that they never change. Look at Street fighter2, SF2 turbo, Street fighter 2 championship edition, Street fighter two championship edition hyper fighting, and SF2 championship edition turbo! They all , at there core, the same damned game. Sf2 feels like sf3 and sf4 will feel like sf2. I know there will be many people who are pissed off about what I just said. . . and that’s ok. Mega man did the same thing. See when capcom makes sequels they just make the same game with different stuff. I love mortal kombat because they are not afraid to try new things. MK1 feels different then MK2, MK3 feels different then MK4 . . . The only complaint I have is that MKA feels a lot like MK:D. So if you’re a gamer who dose not like a game to evolve over a 16 year period, then play street fighter. As for me, 16 years of the same thing gets old. . . I do not like all that MK has been doing lately, but I’m happy they are trying.
