Lobo is the only DC character that should be in an MK. he's so fucking kick ass, it makes me wonder how a shitstain comic company like DC could have such a badass character!

That, and it's been the same joke over and over and over for two decades... Lobo came full circle a long time ago, becoming exactly the kind of thing he parodied. People stopped laughing, and started thinking the leather, chains and "'tude" were cool.

Mind you, it's not like he didn't have the decency to fade to obscurity. I've see him much less in the last decade than I have Doomsday; another spikey, naff, nineties EXTREEEEEEEME-attitude icon!

Lobo is a priest, but still a very bloodthirsty one, and besides anyone who tears of Starfire's top just to have a quick view, while he could bang her then and there shows the inner-control of a holy man.

The same discerning individuals hyped for Li'l Lobo, Stone Cold Steve Austin's in-ring abilities, and new releases from Metallica.


Anyone bothering to read the stuff would also know Lobo's spent just about as much time in "classic" mode in the pages of Deadly Serious. Not that anyone's seriously suggesting a few sequences in a pirate jacket miraculously turned the character into conceptual gold, and this retro romp somehow spoiled that... Larf!

Nineties EXTREME icons are anything but "naff". And if you think they are, Mortal Kombat probably isn't for you.

As regards the parodic nature of Lobo and how that has "disappeared", I'll say that there's no such thing as ironic enjoyment, unless you're one of those people too afraid to admit he likes something. That's why I no longer believe in the phrase "So bad it's good", there is only entertainment and non entertainment.

Both Lobo and Doomsday(two popular DC characters that some MK/DC fans want in) most likely won't be in because as cool as they are, they were more of a one or two time fling.

I wouldn't mind seeing either of them if not both in the game though honestly, Doomsday I'd love to see but if you think about it he really has "no powers" other then pure, brute strength and leaping high

you should post some pics of them both side by side for those of us that only follow MK so we can get to know the DC fighters. Im only familer with te Batman/Superman vilans.
