there are 2 kinds of olympic wrestling, Roman-Greek wresling (which you are not allowed to grab their legs) and free-style wrestling (which you are allowed to take them down with or without leg grab)
now these guys wrestle they don't have sex, they don't have boners (shwing) so there-fore there aint' anything sexual thus gay about it.

As for the spandex, it's simply for keeping both wrestlers as light as possible, plus the material used is tough, so it wont rip while wrestling. The material for football pants are pretty much the exact same thing as what's used for wrestling unitards. If there were an alternative, obviously, it would be used, silly.
