Main Story/Opening FMV

I've had a new idea on the story of MKD and I thought I'd share it with yas.

“The Deadly Alliance had defeated the us the Earthrealm warriors. We were forced back to Earthrealm . They were also were successful in reviving the Dragon King’s undefeatable army. We were forced back to Earthrealm by the undefeatable army. Since then a bigger threat has risen. As the deadly alliance celebrated their victory, the Dragon King awoke. He was reborn through Reptile, in this rebirth he learnt all of Reptiles knowledge and memories. The Dragon King learnt of his army and amulet through the knowledge he had gained from Reptile’s body. He quickly made his way to Shang Tsung’s palace. He went there as this is where his amulet and undefeatable army were. The Dragon King broke through the roof and crushed Quan Chi releasing the amulet from his grasp. He commanded the undefeatable army to kill all of the other members of the deadly alliance. Whilst the Dragon King was commanding the undefeatable army. Shang Tsung attacked him with a fireball. Quan Chi rose from the crushed throne on which he sat. He launched a green skull attack at the Dragon King. The Dragon King dodged it and thrust himself into Shang Tsung. The Dragon King then grabbed Shang Tsung by his head. He proceeded to squeeze Shang Tsung’s head until it implodes under the enormous pressure. Quan Chi panics and turns to run. The Dragon King grabs him and throws him across the room. Quan Chi soars across the room only to be stopped by a flaming torch as it impaled through his chest. The Dragon King’s face can be clearly seen as he moves out of the shadows into the light and towards Quan Chi’s lifeless body. The Dragon King has returned. He has since conquered Outworld and is planning to fuse Outworld to Earthrealm. Thus eliminating me from being able to guide us in to battle. He is the single biggest threat that has ever been encountered. We will need all the help we can get to stop him. He must be stopped at any cost.”said Raiden.

What bigger impact could the DK make than murdering the Deadly Alliance and taking control of his undefeatable army.

It’s sort of the opening FMV showing the rise of the Dragon King.

I’d like to thank tgrant for helping me get rid of a few inaccuracies in the story.

What do yas think ?

That would be really cool for at least part of it, but it also needs to show what happened to other MK:DA absentees and maybe show some of the new characters as well.

Yeah this is like part one. It shows mainly the Dragon King's rise to power.

Yeah, we need to see what happened to other characters in MKDA, like where the Special Forces went, the Red Dragon, new Tekunin, Lin Kuei etc

BUT I made a thread not long ago: "who said the deadly alliance lost?" so I am all for this idea. I think it would be cool if the DA won, and then the DK overpowered em and took control of the army. So I like the principal idea, just eliminate alot of the fight, and show more of an overall picture of the events since MKDA.

true that it never says that the Deadly Alliance was defeated. However, almost every ending points to Shang Tsung being dead (besides his own.)

I guess it's good, but what's the point of putting it up? It's not like the programmers are gonna go on a forum and say "You know what? That's our new ending!" It's also next to impossible to play a 'storyline guessing game' then there are almost no limits. Sure the theory was good, but it ha little practical use. And don't take it personally, the same goes for every other person who does this too.

Its ok but I read in a interview that BOon said that this opening will be different then MKDA there not gonna do the same thing everytime so I doubt that Raiden will be telling the story.
Based on my opinions and some of NIGHTWOLFS IDEA"s:

Maybe to change your beginning. It shows that shangs there dead then it shows with Kung Lao standing there. The DK is reborn through reptile and like u said he has all his memories. SO he goes to Shangs palace to find him dead he's searching for the Amulet. He then goes and finds Quan CHi to get his amulet. QUan pleads for his life and says he will help the DK. The DK lets him live for now. He takes his Army and revives Earth's greatest Warrior Lui Kang he then gets LUi Kang to fight on his side and decieve the Mortals. It then shows them marching through outworld and Ediean.

Sindel see's this and gets ready for battle. It shows Kahns still alive that it was Rekio they killed from his MK4 ending he sat on the throne and wore the helmet maybe he was pretending to be Kahn. So the DA killed him. It shows Kahn preparing to form a army to take on the DK and his army so he can rule the realms again. It then shows Raiden Warning the Mortals of this attack. They all start preparing for battle. Then you see all the realms go into Chaos as they prepare for the Return of the DK.

What do u think it needs a little work probably.

This forum was created for the discussion of the game MKD and ideas/theories on MKD. If you don't like it don't read it. Don't post here and it will not be here for very long. You seem to like tearing me down don't you. You did it in the Kata thread. I'll admit I was wrong in that thread but there are less aggressive ways of saying it. Like in a PM for example.

There are some good ideas it just needs to have a bit more description

I really don't want Raiden to be talking again in the opening FMV. I don't want anyone to be talking. Maybe in the beginning, but that's it.

As you know, I like it. Great work, man. Although did Reptile actually know about the amulet? I'm not sure if that was touched upon at all in MKDA. Maybe the Dragon King could be searching for his army.

I just thought it'd be common knowledge of all the characters. Oh well.

I would like the Opening movie show the Dragon King's mummified army sacrifice themselves before becoming undead. The opening would explain what the Dragon King had done during his rule over Outworld and the reason why there was an incubated egg. In the Opening we should not be able to see the Dragon King, only his shadow. The Opening should show the Dragon King's death and how the Incubated egg with his seed was brought to the Lava Shrine. This all would be narrated by Raiden.

After that we travel back into modern Mortal Kombat, we see Raiden's face as the story ends and the Earthrealm warriors looked stunned. Raiden then tells the Earthrealm warriors that some will have to travel to Outworld yet again to obtain the amulet that Quan Chi posseses. Kabal, Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Bo Rai Cho and others stand up to voulenteer while their names are mentioned by Raiden. Johnny Cage, Sonya, Jax, Kung Lao and other characters that are not playable in this game decide that they will stay in Earthrealm to defend it from incoming invaders.

Raiden will then say one last statement and then the intro would end.

WOW! Nightwolf wat u wrote was really great, and then i read this other one and i liked how Quan Chi was pleading for mercy, and i think that they shud get rid of him, maybe like this:

Quan Chi was pleading for mercy and was on is knees. He told the DK that he wud serve him in any way possible if he let him live, but the DK said he had his allies....suddenly from behind, Baraka and MIleena walk forward and the DK gives Baraka the honor of killing Quan Chi....so quan chi is dead and the DK has outworld on his control.....the dk sends mileena with an army to invade edenia (since she requested it) and as Edenia is being invaded, Mileena finds kitana and kills her once and for all and Sindel leaves the palace and is in search for help....then they can show the DK's eyes of deception and rayden getting his mortals ready for battle or something....

so i think that shud go in the part where u wrote about quan chi!

I also really like how u wrote that thing about Reiko...

BOTH STORIES were great, and i agree, i dont want rayden to say the story, they shud just make it a short movie where there is a script, and it shud be longer (4 minutes at least)

I think it would be cool to release a comic book for MK Deception that would help explain about the Dragon King during his rule before any of the Mortal Kombats and introduce the new characters.

The intro should focus on the fall of the Deadly Alliance and the rise of the Dragon King. Raiden should do his narratnig yet again and the characters that are seen in this game should gather around him.

Well thanks and I like ur idea of getting rid of Quan I was going to its just that Were not sure if he is or isn;t. Yes nightwolf i no it needs more description maybe someday when im bored i will do that. Thanks tho.

I like the idea for the comic book, and they could rerelease the old original that you can't find anywhere along with it. I really like the idea for Rieko

A comic book would be a good idea but I think the opening FMV is going to be really big it'll like have what you stated above and an explanation of each character in MK:DA's ending.
