I think I fully understand the glitch now thanks to Check and a few other posts here in this thread.

Jump over, land+f+3, CS

That is how Sub-Zero's impale is done, for example.

You may replace ANY attack with "land+f+3". Most of the time, however, you freeze and are basically unable to move or block (until you do an attack or switch stances).

very nice job bone, but i will make things easier for everyone right now

and dave, great job getting it, listen up though

first off, you can thank laser for bringing up the fact that you dont have to jumpkick

furthermore, it works 100% of the time. and is simple. if you really need me to make a vid of it, i will, but the entire way it is done has been completly made simple

its simply:

jump, start holding forward in the air until the end of the glitch, press 3 when you land, and cs when you turn around.

just dont press 3 too early or else youll get a jumpkick cancel.

every single button does something different, throws can be done the same way, specials, everything...

jumpover, start holding forward in the air until the end of the glitch, land+r1, turn around, cs

jumpover, start holding forward in the air until the end of the glitch, land + df2, turn around, cs

etc

works with everything

so with that said, im going to redo the glitch video since i can do this 100% of the time, and just do everyones glitches on the same video rather then one button per person per video.

remember, its

jumpover, start holding forward in the air till the end of the glitch, land+3, turn around, cs

it works 100% of the time without doing the jumpkick. so props to laser for that.

id like to thank everyone for their contributions to help making this mystery solved.

few other things..

1) it DOES work off a freezeball, but when you do it, it doesnt impale, its just a normal hit

2) it works vs the cpu but it doesnt drain their energy

3) havent tried it yet in versus mode to see if it steals weapon offline as well.

i think thats it.

ok. have fun.

later

Thanks for making it simple, I should be able to do this every time now.

Last night I cloned someone, then did the Impale and it was the regular hit. I was like wtf, but now I realize it can't be done...Oh well

Thanks' Check

Peace...Laser

no problem laser

check out this though, as long as the walls dont act stupid online, this will definitly work online

I did it!

What I do is, right when I hear sub-zero's voice (when he hits the ground) I press 3 then cs

And it DOES take away your enemy's weapon offline.

Oh yeah, and sorry about our little argument we had before check.

EDIT2: ANOTHER weired thing is when my enemy killed me, and I got back up... MY WEAPON WAS INVISIBLE...until I CS

I also did it with 4, and I froze for a few seconds... and you can not seem to grab sub when he is in this position, but you can attack.
this may even mess with kreate a fatality...

What should this be called? Jump Glitch?

EDIT 5: I just tried this in MKDA... it seems harder, and it has a diffrent effect, once you do it, you slide backwards and your attack misses...WTF?

thanks for the contributions, they are well accepted.

no problem, this is the kind of posts i like to see.

i just call it the impale glitch... but the glitch in general is "CS Cancel"

Dang, this may alter the gameplay a bit, I have not played online yet so I think I know their are scrubs saying that people are using GS or something.. lol

Who discovered Free throws anyway? Was it you Check? You seem to be responsible in a small part in the high level gameplay tactics used in MKA.

Keep up the good work.

i found about 200 free throws in mkd, but they were not the original ones found by others, they were the ones found after everyone thought there was nothing left. ( my trademark )

i gave the list to red saleen, and we tested them online and they all worked. he made a thread about it.

lots of them were just free if you ducked, if you jumped away, they werent free, plus hit recovery made alot of them escapable.

but no, i did not find free throws, nor would i have besides hellfire walkup throw, which isnt free unless you sidestep. just because all i used for 6 months to a year was scorpion back in mkd.

as people thinking this glitch is gs related. im flattered!! maybe i should just buy one to piss them off even more. who needs a impale, you could just put in a code for life drain ; )

na, but i would buy a gs for one thing, and that would be to shut off the timer and play 5 round games. also to have infinite life for both people so we could practice combos without the pressure of a single lifebar

right now im just happy with my new controller, cant wait to get back online for a few days.

hit me up for some games iori, and thanks for all the support man.

Yeah, he may be pretty rusty, I mean he has not played the game since UMK3 came out on Live, so he has to get shown the stuff.

And I don't really think MKA is THAT bad, it beats the crap out of MKD, and heck, alot of 3D fighters nowadays are broken (unless you count the ones with 2 versions) I have been playing more lately, getting more good games and stuff, but I am still not as great at the game as most of you on MKO are.

On topic: I did the glitch on Meat, he makes some weired taunt sound, his other buttons do wake-ups.....

Yeah, I remember the feeling I got when I first got this game, it was pretty cool, I actually thought I was going to be disappointed, but I thought it was a big improvement over deception, now I think its alright, not as good as I used to think of it. I still like MKDA and UMk3 better but this still can be great once you play some good games.

i never would of thought it would of have gone this deep.

i remember when i found acs in 5 minutes the second day this game came out. i was actually talking to konqrr on AIM when i found them. then he found one. after that, i thought it was over. he was gone before i even had a chance to discuss how they were supposed to be used. but like i said it was because of those first few days that i was able to figure out how they were supposed to be used. doing combos like

shang: b3 cs 112cs332 b3 cs 112cs332 cs b4 (wall) 332cs332, cs b4, cs, b4.

he played a huge part. now hes just so far behind, its sad. i hope he manages to catch up. because the dude was good at combos the first week. and a great player all around.

the blocking was messed up in mkd, i dont even wanna talk about that game. it was bad. if someone walked up to you and you pressed block, you got thrown, even if you ducked before the throw, the game is garbage.

i dont remember mkda that much. but it was as bad as mkd, thats for sure. only one character was good ( scorpion ) everything else was garbage and unplayable. very unbalanced game.

umk with its broken throws/run jab game is enough to make me not want to play it, unless you play with throwing disabled, which fixes this majorly broken issue of the game. fun game though. blocking is screwed up in this game as well, thanks to throws.

lol, dude you should have read my PM, in UMK3 you can avoid throws by simply holding back, UMK3 is the only perfectly balanced and Non-broken MK game out there, hell I would probably would have said the same thing as you if I did not know that about throws, so I can understand how you feel man smile

MKDA is a little broken, just not anywhere near as broken as MKD because of its balance (almost everyone can compete besides bottom 5) but still... MKD is basically who ever does the 100% combo first if you play it high level play, sure you got some characters with infinites in MKDA, but most of those are timed and those characters have several weaknesses.
I like the fact that there is not any God Tier characters in MKDA, but its still a little broken because of 50/50's.
I can see your point man.

na man, it was in mkda, so its legit to me.

it would never happen, but its a good debate that could go either way.

when it all comes down to it, its up to the person youre playing, i personally wouldnt mind, nor would i mind not to if the person i was playing didnt want it to be done.

lol, i hope to play him in UMK again, last time i did rather well 20-5 i believe.

i lost 20-10 last time to shock, but my usub beat his kabal like 5-1, heh.

anyway, you still have to hold block when you block throws. thats where lies the problem to me, the transition out of block to attack is TOO SLOW. like i said the blocking is screwed up. maybe if there was no block button, it would be better. but every mk game has suffered from poor blocking animations. mka being the best, but a rather odd glitch with being hit after blocking.

i played alot of mkda, and to my recollection, nothing beat scorpion except maybe sonya. i dont remember, maybe 2 or 3 others. its no different then dai and bo in mkd. just my opinion. all i used is scorp in mkda. like i said, this was a long time ago. i learned how the game was played in mkd. so, until i go back to it, i stand by my decision.

i rarely ever go online, too busy with combo movies all the time, which leaves my hands rather crippled. 5 minutes after fighting, my hands start to hurt. but with combos, i can sit there for 2 or 3 hours because it is a delicacy. unfortunatly, i dont think they'll ever be normal again.

im not as good as i once was, but ill play ya. just holler at me sometime

Huh? I did not know you played UMK online, how do you play it? Kaillera?

Anyway, I can see where you are coming from, top 5 do have there weaknesses though, remember, Scorpion can't poke-hellfire because you can back dash out of it (you probably already knew that) and he does have his weaknesses, Brady did not tell me about those yet, but I know he can be beaten. However scorpion is still a beast because of his Pi Gua and his Hell fire, once you play it again you will see what I mean furious

And you don't need to hold block to avoid throws, if your getting charged then go over there and charge their asses lol they might block but you will still get a decent amount of damage from run-jabs.

Hope this helps

I'll accept it then and not quit on people who use the impale glitch. Besides, my Kano is excellent against Sub-Zero. He's crap against Kai though. While many Sub-Zero players whoop me, if those players had a clone, or identically skilled fighter challenging them, and fought Kano against Sub-Zero, I think Kano would winsmile

Don't forget. In MKDA Sonya's 1,1,4 in Kenpo was 100% safe. You could side-step the mili-second after doing 1,1,4. That's one of the things that made her top tier. I remember playing the computer at maximum difficulty and it COULD NOT punish/counter her 1,1,4 because I always ended up side-stepping and then repeating 1,1,4.tongue
