Why would the DC fans stay with MK after the DC characters aren't in it anymore? If they didn't care about MK's storyline before chances are they wont give a shit when MK9 comes around.

Hey now, we might get two or three folks to look at Scorpion and go "Hey, this guy's kinda cool. I wanna know more about him."

This game will sell at least a million copies on the Mortal Kombat name alone. Here's hoping the DC fans and 13 year olds who can buy it now boost the sales even higher.(Seriously, i'd hate to see this whole fuckin DC Comics/T rated thing be for nothing)

Silly Gamespot forgot to report their net revenues...

Net revenue = $51.4 million
Net loss = $75.9 million
Net profit = Negative 25.4 million

So, MKvsDC only has to make 25.4 million dollars...

Now, Deadly Alliance sold around 2.6 million copies...
2.6 million x 60 bucks each = 156 million dollars...

We're good grin

Very wrong.

It's actually the retail stores that make the most money out of those 60 bucks, not the publishers/developers.

I forgot the percentage but I'm quite sure the retail stores get more than half.

I do. Then maybe a good company which doesn't have to churn shit out every year just to stay afloat can take over and set MK right again.

Hmm, many people have said this, and I am not opposed to the idea much anymore....not that I was in the first place.

It doesn't matter if you release a game in 1 and a half year, and next time around, in 5 years, and next time around, in 2 and a half years.

You get where I am going with this?

Put the right amount of effort in a game, and I promise it will work. That being said, I see alot of effort in MK VS DC. They really really put hard work into the game, and anyone who denies that simply shouldn't bother with the whole thing.
