In the begining I had some serious doubts about the cross over but after following the progress of the game since its conception it really feels like this game is actually going to be successful. I remember in the begining people were against Kingdom hearts becuase nobody gives a shit about Disney but the game was awesome. I suspect MK V.S. DC U. will be no exception ether.

I'm totally excited about this game and its limited release since Street Fighter 4 was such a disapointment!

I have to take a stand and say anyone comparing the story arc of Super Smash Bros Brawl with MK vs DC is conjuring a weak comparison.

First off...

1. The Brawl characters were all separated at the start of story mode. Nobody was with anyone except for the start of the game with Mario, Kirby, Zelda and Peach.

2. They were invaded by the Subspace Army led at the time by Bowser, Ganondorf and the Master Hand. King DeDeDe was not part of the Subspace faction, he went alone and Wario despite the opening cinematics I dont believe was with the subspace faction.

3. The overall story arc was something far more epic atleast at this point to date. It was written by Final Fantasy writers. It didnt have to make sense it was meant to be all in good fun. SOOOoo many different characters as well as 3rd party characters in that game. With many boss battles, etc.

4. Brawl's cinematics were and are arguably better than what MK vs DC has to offer in terms of graphics alone. Cartoon or not. The 'Great Invasion' Scene alone is enough to validate that alone.

5. Brawl is part of a budding, unique fighting series while MK is working on its latest in a long line of fighters.

6. There were betrayals along the way of story mode in Brawl. Whose to say the same thing cant happen in MK vs DC. Then again your talking about Ed Boon vs. Sakurai which is a big mismatch at this point. Still with DC involved. Im sure their writers are playing a big part in this game which WILL help the series alot more than MK purists will probably want to admit.

7. In the end, your comparing a fighter with Nintendo All stars, Segas all star and Konamis badass Warrior with multiplayer fighting, weapons, final smashes vs a series up until this point that has been a stagnant fighter. MK:DA was the last fast and fluid MK game IMO. I fear MK vs DC will be slow in terms of gameplay but I think with DC involved, the story mode no matter how cliche it may be will end up saving the game IMO.

Trailer is amazing. I am getting excited now even though fatalities are getting toned down. So glad the gameplay looks as though it will make up for it as well as the story mode. Have to say Sonya looks so bad ass bicycle kicking Lex Luthor, cannot wait to use her and kick some DC butt. Think Midway have definately done a good job on her this time around compared to the rest of the characters, who all look awesome too. Subby looks quality as well imo. Not long to go now folks. grin

I was thinking the exact same thing about the Joker, wondering how in the world they would justify him teaming with the DC heroes....However I think he will play a deeper part in all of this, maybe even in some way be behind everything...just a wild theory, but The Jokers methods make sense to him and him alone.

Why does Wonder Woman's hair look like one big dread?

I thought they were using the Unreal 3 Engine?

I think this trailer really highlights the bad more than the good. Sure it has the ability to peak ones interest, but the design and even the basic concept of the game are still questionable. This game doesn't look very polished to me. The hair of every female character looks like one big lump of crap. The limp ponytails of Kitana and Sonya really, really annoy me for some reason. Not to mention Kitana's ribbons, which are a cute accessory, but executed horribly. Maybe I just didn't pay close enough attention, but Deathstroke has ties on the back of his mask and they weren't sticking straight out like whiskers. I still don't understand this story of us vs them. It seems out of character for a lot of the characters on both sides, but eh.

I like the idea. I can't wait to see other featured characters other than Quan Chi.

I'm positive the DC folks working with Midway are making sure The Joker is being represented correctly. I doubt any of the DC characters will be out of character.

He's alongside Superman and friends during their bum rush of Raiden and pals. That alone says he's out of character.

He may not be there to fix anything in particular, just in it for the chaos of it all, and since they happen to be going to the same place, why not go along with them? It's not like he particularly dislikes any of them.

Wouldn't The Joker just stand by and let everything happen and laugh his @$$ off and not join forces with Batman?confused

Yes. He'd revel in the chaos of it all and wouldn't even think of trying to "fix" the problems. Hence he is acting extremely out of character in this game which bugs the hell out of me.

You're wrong there.

Joker does have standards. For example he declined teaming up with Captain Nazi because''I may be a homicidal maniac, but i'm an american Homicidal maniac''

He'll also lent a hand in an alien invasion because it's his world too.

So him helping out in this is not out of character(unless you've only seenJoker in The dark knight).Especially since he'll die too.

... Which continues to flush this game down my proverbial toilet.
