We see a very shady pic of Smoke in his MK3 ending. He's bald (but that might be because of the automation process, perhaps they had to shave his head first).

I think he looks badass. Though, that angle and stance really don't do him justice in that screenshot. I think he looks pretty cool when he's kicking ass.

I hated that costume ,I always used his Reaper hoodie. It had a nice theme goin' ,whit the scythe and all. ^_^

The Netherrealm and Hell are 2 different planes of existence.

I think Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion) would look very typical Japanese character. He'd probably have a fu manchu and long black hair.

After the big Cyrax is black surprise, I wouldn't be surprised if Smoke and Sektor were both something completely unexpected; maybe Smoke, who we know is white (Human smoke) might be Scandanavian or something. You don't know. And Sektor might be Hispanic. You just don't know. The Lin Kuei abducts children from all over the globe to train; who knows where they got Smoke and Sektor from.

Umm... guys... I don't think that Noob screenshot wasn't meant to be interpreted as his actual face. It was just a bonus costume the programmers thought looked cool so they gave to Noob(who wasn't even a main-stay character in MK4, he was hidden).

But back on topic, I completely agree. Let's give the ninjas some more identity. I think reveiling a character's face is an important step in developing him/her and providing depth. I'm dying to see what Smoke looks like as a human, or even Rain, despite how much I loath him(I'd imagine he'd share the delicate appearance of the other edenians).

I think it would be Kool if "Some" of the ninjas are unmask...but not all of them!

These are some quality ideas.
Unmasking a few couldn't hurt. Maybe one of them could be unmasked and found out to be one of the other characters. For example. Rain was unmasked and found out to be Fujin.
