OMG r u fuckin kidding me. I love chess (and I know alot of people do) and I know after I get tired of playing regular fighting in MKD, I will be playing Chess most of the time online. The puzzle kombat I won't hardly play but chess. Yes sir. I will be playing that. So, no it isnt a waste of time. It gives the game more replay value.

Konquest is a 2-dollar game huh? We didn't even see Shujinko as an adult.

These mini games are awesome.I'm gonna be playing Puzzle Kombat for a LONG time.Chess will also be badass.And Konquest will be the best.You'll be able to give your character the moves and styles you want.You'll be able to meet EVERY MK fighter in the history of MK.Your custom character will have the best storyline because you've actually SEEN everything that happened to him in his life.You'll make the decisions for your character and choose the path he takes.Konquest is definitely gonna be one of the best modes in the game.If you don't like it then I guess that's your problem

Please! They are OPTIONS! If you don't like them don't play them. Let those of us who are looking for a little something to increase the replay value of the game have the options. It doesn't look like the actual Kombat portion is suffering any.

Lay off the drugs man, there not doing any good to you, only causing harm to others.

Konquest looks like its going to be more of a drag than anything fun. It doesnt appear that its going to be that different, meaning that online, your going to be fighting the same exact guy... that if u have more than one Konquest mode going, odds are the two fighters will be exact with the exception of maybe a different style and a couple moves.

If it was a full RPG, then great, but really, it does look like cheap.

Thats just my opinion.

i look forward to unlocking new stuff, but the videos ive seen of Konquest dont look that good. The areas look empty... like there are a few people walkin around, but it looks like if you were to play the same place, that them people would always be in the same spot. And also, the worlds that we have seen dont look that inspired... to me any way, but the idea of havin all that stuff to unlock is great... lets just hope it isnt Frisbees with the MK logo on it.

the mini games are a great addition, but so long as it hasn't affected the work on the actual fighting part of the game.

I'd just like to add, for those who think that the mini-games are a waste of time, space and money, consider this:

You are an awesome MK player, you are able to defeat mK:DA on Max difficulty with almost every character. When your friends come around to hang out, you offer them a game of MK:DA. Quickly you establish the fact that your friend has rarely or never played MK. So you put on the handicap, but trying to beat someone up who has 5 times your health starts to get unnerving and loses its replay value.

Now, lets take the senario above, but the game that we are playing is now MK:De. There may be reasons why you are not going to be online for MK:de, it could be money, the area you live in, or for example my problem is that I don't own a ps2 and I will be playing my version of MK:De on my roomates ps2. Therefore playing against another player is rare, but now my friends can come around and we can battle in a bloody tetris game, which doesn't take weeks of practice to conquer, but more like 10-20 minutes. So instant fun is granted, and the challenge is much more exciting.
Infact this is likely to be the reason that they added Puzzle Kombat to the game.

Take this into consideration and if you dont like the mini games, don't play them
